Re: Why playing a BR FPS if all you do is trying to avoid ANY fights?

@Vdstrk Probably a combination of what the ppl above have said. The mindset you’re on has a great hint of FPS in it.

BRs are basically king of the hill games. Last one standing on top is the winner. No matter the method. Cheat, manipulate, tactics, run & gun and so on. Goal is to win, more so than most other competitive genres since you have only 1 life basically...

Due to this being a shooter I can understand the tone with which you ask how ppl can play this game tho, but unless ppl are mindless drones, extremely confident (in their skillz) or a mix or partway between those 2, they’re not going to run from engagement to engagement or are not even willing to engage ones.
They can also just prepare for easy playings, prepare for ranked, seen this play on yt, like being passive or any other factor.

It’s sad when you are the rowdy type and see a fight and want to join and ping and run towards it only to see that your teammates are still standing still 200m behind you looking at you xD...

If they played passively in a shooter shooter tho... and not sniping or anything but actively camping and doing nothing, okay then we could have a flameout how such ppl should just play online monopoly.... nothing worse than getting killed by a claymore from a player huddled in such a dark spot with only 1 kill at the end of a 9 min match that he’d scare the boogeyman... XD

I understand playing smart. Sometimes you can just engage, and sometimes you have to disengage, as a team. Sometimes you have enough resources to take a fight sometimes not. Then obviously position matters in why or not taking a fight.
But running away, and i mean in the opposite direction, including in the microwave... well that seems to me the behavior of someone who would much rather play a different game.
  • @Vdstrk Definitely. All depends on the person or even the mood. Cause most times I play just to dmg and kill but sometimes I don’t think of myself and think of the team 😜 I’m a selfish person xD.

But I fully agree. Some just seem suited playing another game, but they might just love shooters, so we can’t judge... until they f up!

It's ok.. Everyone needs to start at some point and somewhere, I guess. I just can't connect FPS and no firefights at all.
It is highly situational for sure, so a match is hectic and another is 100% boring I guess.
  • Easy answer, THIRD PARTYING. Many teams avoid fights and just wait for 3rd parties so they can try and get easy kills.

I wish the game would make gunfire and Alts not so loud so you cant hear shots 500m away. If they reduced this, there would be far less 3rd partying and I would push fights all the time.

The thing is, not everyone is confident and good enough and lack the skill, so buy pushing with a team like this, you more or less got to kill everyone by yourself, as team mates go down within 5 secs.

If you play with friends, its so much easier, but playing trios with randoms just sucks, this is why I prey they bring back solo mode. For those times, when you do play by yourself, it would be far less frustrating, thats for sure

Yes, but when you third party someone you actually take a fight. I am talking about people who do not even want to shoot a single bullet, they literally run away from each fight...

I understand new players for sure, and that is ok... It gets very frustrating in the long run, when you are paired with level 30s match after match, but that is pubs. The reason it gets frustrating is that I wish to be able to help my team, but when there is no comms, they do not listen, they do not take fights, do not push or defend/disengage, then after 20 matches like that... I feel frustrated and I have to stop playing for a bit.
It is so bad that most of the times it is totally irrelevant having ults, because you do not even need to use them, or do not even have a chance, because the team dies way to fast --ults are not even charged yet.
