That's the balance.

(Though frankly the damage is way too low for a mini-gun with a spin up time. Should do more per shot than the Rampage. But that's a whole different balance issue.)

Work with a team on coms, including one who is playing a Recon. Know or be able to guess where last ring will be. Set up walls and mini-gun in good chokepoint and wait for targets to come to you.
