@PsyhiX69You get ammo from boxes that you have to pick up.
There are different types though.
Light = lightish brown/orange color. 20 per pickup/60 for one stack
Heavy = green. 20 per pickup/60 for one stack
Shotgun = red. 8 per pick up/16 per stack
Energy = Neon yellow/green. 20 per pickup/60 for one stack
Sniper = Blue. I think it's 12/24 for pickup and stacks.

Pickup = what you'll find on the ground or in pill-boxes.
Stack = how much one slot in your inventory holds.

Ammo is spread out randomly, but you can craft it in replicators as well.
It will say 20 crafting materials for ammo, this is for both guns you have picked up. If i remember correctly you can drop one and craft a single stack for 10 if you're short on materials.
