Did you figure it out? I’m doing Eva 8 trials for fun since ranked is trash. I have been stuck at 0/20 for this stupid first trial that never seems to register mind you I’m masters solo so it’s not due to skill.
Tried different Eva skins in case it’s a bug, different legends different modes and I even watched the gaming merchants YT video where he did it in ONE game.
That was 9 months ago and I still cannot get even 1 down to register.

Just tested that too. killed 4 players full shield no one else touched them and nothing.. i think ill put in a bug report or something
Simply have it at full 8 mag and hold the trigger until it empties.
It worked the first time for me in a control game.
Anyway, don't try to do the Weapon challenges, don't let them troll you,
it's very frustrating when it doesn't even depend on you, just to get Weapon XP you have to run with the weapon in your hands (that makes your movement be a little slower)
thats crazy i dint even know i could do it in control, thanks for sharing. these weapon challenges are not fun I am doing them because I'm tired of being punished for doing solo ranked and get 20 bomb try hards in gold lobby. while my friends (who are mediocre at best ) get easy lobbies and are level 2 diamond,. ( they only ever achieved d4)
I'm not a terrific player, and only play for maybe 10 hours a week. So I've only gotten to one weapon trial, for the Flatline, which is the only must-have weapon for me really in the game. There are lots of other weapons I like as a secondary, but I'll almost always end up with a Flatline in any BR game I play. When I got to the level 20 challenge (20 kills while ADS) it was like, haha yeah I think I can manage that.
Some of the trials are really silly, and while I won't make fun of them, I'm not gonig to go out of my way to try to finish them. But I like that it gives people who take the game at very full-on try hard seriousness something to aim for.
I have had it with these stupid troll challenges. I'm fixated on completing this stupid eva 8 trial and after TWO weeks of only playing with eva8s I have completed 2/20. I still have no idea the EXACT parameters. I got one in trios and one in a deathmatch. I have no idea how tho. do you have to be ADS or hipfire?can you start in ads and go into hipfire or does that cancel it? keep holding even after they are downed?ughh so frustrating I am just ready to move on
Thanks for looking out friend. I am over it gave too much energy on these Apex troll trials. For anyone else considering doing the eva 8 here's what i learned to have a CHANCE of getting credit:
-go for fully shielded and healed enemies.
-don't go for enemies that have been hit by friendly fire
-stay in ADS the whole time or hip-fire only, DO NOT SWITCH mid shooting
-team death match and control kills count
-don't pre-damage enemies or use grenades, eva 8 only
-empty out entire clip no matter if you knock someone in few hits
-do not move at all when shooting so you can keep rapid firing. I feel the knock doesn't count if you say climb or strafe as it halts the rapid fire
