Re: Cross Progression: I have 2 EA Accounts. What do I do?

I have one EA account connected to Xbox, and one EA account connected to Steam/PC. I am aware that they cannot merge and I don't mind, my PC account is like level 18 but my Xbox account is where I used to play all of the time. I have a lot of progression on the Xbox account. When the cross-progression rolls out, will I have the option to choose which EA account I want to play on? I realize I could just unlink my Steam account and link it to the Xbox EA account, but I do not have access to the EA email for my PC account. I just want to use my Xbox account on my PC.

    Hi @mattshep1,

There is no way to connect two separate EA accounts for Cross Progression.

If you're wanting to have access to your Xbox content on a PC account, you'll need to move the PC account to the same EA account as your Xbox link.

This will result in a loss of the progress from your PC account, but it will have access to the Xbox content once Cross Progression takes effect for your account.

This will be the same situation as in the solution on the first page, feel free to check that out if you need links or information about linking the accounts. 🙂
  • Okay, thanks. As I stated before, My PC/Steam account is linked to an email with the EA account that I can no longer get access to. Is there any way you can help me unlink my Steam account from the EA account if I don't have access to the EA email?

  • Okay, could I also just make a new Steam account and link that to the EA account associated with my Xbox account? Then when I boot up Apex on pc can I have my Xbox account? Or is there going to be an option when I boot up Apex, can I choose which EA account I want to play with if you have more than one?

  • Im just trying to figure out what are the best options and how many options there are in order to just use my Xbox account on my PC.

  • So if I were to make a new Steam account, say today, then link that to an EA account that is also linked to my Xbox account that has tons of progression on it. When cross-progression goes live, will I be able to log in on Apex through Steam, and have that Steam account and Xbox account merge through that same EA account? I read that any new account that is made after October 26th is not eligible for a merge.

Yes. Any content you earned on that Steam account would not be merged if it was added after the 26th, but you're absolutely able to still link it to the EA account to access the other content.

If you had progress on two separate EA accounts, that could never be merged, even before the 26th. Progress is stored on the EA account where it was initially unlocked, not any individual platforms. Moving a platform from one EA account to another will not transfer that progress regardless of whether that was done before or after the 26th.

  • @EA_Mako per the new pop up that’s happening at the help desk:

“If you have more than one Apex Legends account, your accounts will be merged to create a new cross-progression account. Your profile with the highest account level will become your cross-progression account.”

does this pertain to EA accounts as well? There’s also this:

“You might lose some content when your cross-progression account is created.

If you lose anything you can't get back through gameplay, we'll try to add it back to your account in the future.

We won't restore lost content that you can regain through gameplay.”

Does this count towards people who have 2 EA accounts and had to choose one over the other? Also, do Purchased Heirlooms, Prestige Skins, and packs towards completion of the event heirlooms and prestige skins get restored even if you can’t merge said EA Accounts?

    @ohMyyPaiN

Banned accounts are not eligible for cross progression or merging.

as per my reply in the other post you posted about this you would first have to dispute the ban successfully.
