Re: crashing since latest update

Try again running the 64 bit version of the game, if it still crashes, send us the report and the dxdiag please.

I've started recording those crashes - I have about a dozen of absolutely exactly the same kind. Same offset, same modules.

I'd be very interested if there is an easy fix for this ... I can hardly play a single game without a crash. In the last game it crashed 4 times in 20 minutes.

Please EA - help! I'm tired of this! Tried one game today - just one! And it crashed 5 times! In a single game!

    This is unbearable!

    Any update? Suggestion? Idea?

C'mon guys - this is unbearable! Not a single game without a crash!
  • Hi vs3n,

I believe this fixed the issue for me, although I have other unrelated crashes.

The problem is that every time you run a direct x or visual studio redistributable for any other game it will break the dependencies in the dynamic link library (.dll) used for BF4.

Since you have a 64 Bit system, you are better off running the 64 Bit version of the game. From your crash report, you are running the 32 bit version (x86).

Make sure you have the x64 version selected in Origin Launch options.

Run the vcredist_x64 ("C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\__Installer\vc\vc2012Update3\redist") before you launch the 64 bit version of the game. Do this every time before you play the game and you shouldn't have a problem.

Scratch that - there is a newer version to download: http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=30679

Hi NamelessHenchman and thanks for the quick reply! But as I stated in my first post - I have a 32-bit OS (not 64-bit).

Is there a similar step for 32bit?
