- @squid010xx I've experienced this before with other games but have not had the issue with Dead Space, so this is just a troubleshooting option you can try.
Go to "System > Sound > Properties > Output settings > Format" for your Razer Headset and try changing the output quality to a different value, then restart the game.
You can get there by right-clicking on the speaker icon in your system tray (bottom right corner), left-clicking 'Open Sound Settings', then left-click the Razer Headset audio device associated with your headset (where there is a ">" symbol. The Format options will be under 'Output settings' in a dropdown where you can select different output frequencies.
For example, my output quality is set to "32 bit, 384000 Hz (Studio Quality)" which works with my high-end DAC specifications but for a Razer USB headset it may need to be set to a much lower frequency like "16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality)" or a similar to be compatible with the game audio. - SUPERPETER853 years agoNew Rookie
Anyone else having audio stutters? Only game i get it on, managed to stop it when not using dlss for a bit but then it came back, very tinny
I am having a serious audio stuttering in the main menu of the game, or whenever i am in Steam overlay or pressing escape button. the game runs smoothly without audio errors in game. 60fps. sometimes stutters. but no audio and sound error inside the game, just the menu. no issues in inventory or anything what is ingame overlay related. (store, upgrading etc)
pc is RTX 3050, 16GB ram and i7 6700k.
game audio stutters and distorts when playing occasionally, but framerate and other performance seem to be fine. and yes, all audio drivers, updates, and files are updated and validated. so i'm stumped as to what i should do

Hi @SUPERPETER85 what type of audio device are you using? Also would it be possible to get a DxDiag?
I am playing on PC and since patch 1.03 have run into a few issues, performance is worse in some areas, the framerate will drop by at least 50%, but it usually doesn't last long. But the main issue is I just started chapter 8 and went back to Engineering to work on one of the side quests that requires Level 3 Security Clearance. I walked into the control room, the main one on the Engineering Deck with the Store and Save Station. I was attacked by a slasher and two pregnant's, after killing the second one my sound cut out, just in the game though everything else still had sound. I went to exit the game and it froze and forced me to reboot.

I've been having this issue with audio popping and crackling in quality. I've reinstalled the game and tried other solutions I've read online with no luck. It's incredibly irritating between the stutters and pop in. There's a thread on reddit about this same exact problem so I know it's common for some people. Does anybody know of a way to fix this? Or is anyone having the same issue? This needs to be patched man ☹️

I have currently having this issue as well. I've tried two different pairs of headphones and still am hearing crackling and popping with the audio. This isn't happening in other programs or games either, so I don't understand what's happening here.
