Re: Gull and Lantern Cutscene Freeze/Crash (FIXED) POSSIBLE CUTSCENE FIX

Ok, I played on a theory and it really paid off and I believe I might have found a fix for people with cutscenes. I turned all the graphic settings to max but meshes all the way to low. The reason I tried this is because I got tired of looking at glossy hair when I had all the settings low. So I turned meshes up but nothing else. Then I went to the War Room after closing the breach in the Redcliffe Chantry. While I was going through the cutscene for selecting the mages my computer locked up again.

I did a hard shut down and reboot and I got to thinking that the meshes were the problem. So I went back to the War Room again, with meshes set back to low. I got through the scene no problem and then I had a theory. I set everything to max settings minus multi sample and post processing at high and meshes at low. I then exited then restarted the game. I went back to redo the mage cutscene in the War Room, and lo behold, I didn't crash at all!

To further confirm my theory, I loaded up a save before going into the Gull and Lantern and ran through the cutscene with the settings. Once again I DIDNT CRASH!

To summarize I believe the meshes are causing major issues with the game are a possible root to the cutscene problems. Now I need to contact EA/Bioware and let them know to see if they found the same thing. I also removed the "GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+" command line when running the tests and didn't have any issues.

I hope this helps everybody, any way to get it stickied if it works for people?
