And @Leora85 is correct: if you delete the "merged" folder each time you want to change mods, then run DAIMM, your version number should remain the same.
But you already figured out the real secret: "If a save won't load, just increment the Version number until it does!" 🤓
It should be in [drive] > Program Files > Origin Games > Dragon Age Inquisition > Update, a folder named Patch_ModManagerMerge if you let mod manager name it itself. 🙂
Remember if you're doing a merge for the first time on a fresh install of the game (patch 11), you might need to tick the 'force patch rescan' box in mod manager (only the first time), as they didn't release a new version for patch 11 as it only made some Trespasser related changes to the game, which had no effect on mods.
