Link2EA Error and EA App Crashing
I purchased Jedi Survivor on Steam, and have the EA App installed. 95% of the time when trying to launch the game, the game does not open. Steam shows that the game is "running", but it does not open and closes right away. The error I keep getting is shown below, where a window titled "Link2EA" comes up with a red X in the window. No other information is provided. Would note that I have been able to get the game launched 2 times out of 30+ attempts, and have been able to get ~30 minutes of real gameplay.
Some things i have tried:
- Clearing Cache on the EA App
- Uninstalling and re-installing the EA App
- Killing the "EABackground" process in Task Manager
- Verifying the integrity of the game files on Steam
- Uninstalling and re-installing the game on Steam
- Launching the game with the EA App open BEFORE pressing "Play" on Steam
- Launching the game with the EA App closed BEFORE pressing "Play on Steam"
- Uninstalling and re-installing my GPU drivers
- Uninstalling and re-installing the Microsoft VC++ "vc_redist" files in the _Installer folder
- Closing down every other program on my system aside from Steam / EA App before launching the game
I am really not sure what is causing this issue. I have tried contacting EA support but was told that this is a bug and there is no current fix for it. I am incredible frustrated and would like to get this issue resolved as soon as possible. If it helps, my system specs are below:
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3D
- Windows 11
- 1440p Monitor (not trying to run at ultra high settings in 4k or anything)
