Old thread but I literally cannot turn in game overlay off at all. It's greyed out, I have no games open at all, EA app is up to date so is my windows. I'm trying to turn it off as it may be messing up my input for my PS5 controller on fifa 21, as I can't press any buttons and the analogue sticks are freaking out. The controller is fine and works okay. I think its the overlay messing it up but it cant be turned off.

I'm having the same problem. If someone has got a fix in the last 10 days please help.
Go to the EA app, enable online status and disable overlay, I was looking for a solution myself, now I got it all turned off when I selected online status😀

by clicking on the profile icon in the upper right corner
Why TF you have to change status to be able to disable that stoopid overlay... Ye ye **bleep** launcher.
