 @YesItIsMe12 Hi, are you talking about a particular game? A Way Out is built from the ground up for Co-Op, but it's designed for 2 players. 

If your question is musing in general, I'd hope that we'll see the 4-player split return at some point, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I do see games with couch co-op show up on the indie scene, perhaps you want to check there/.
