Summarize your bug The entire EA App will not launch on my computer. Keeps coming up with a box that says it is either 'not designed to run on Windows or contains an error.' Tried to report this error via the Error Reporter but clicking on this also comes up with the same error box.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try and launch the app on a Windows 11 PC. (United Kingdom)
What happens when the bug occurs? I click on the EA app and this message comes up: It happens with every way I try to access the EA app: desktop, NIVIDIA, All Programs list. The entire app is not working.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see the app launch.
An error box keeps coming up every time I try and click on the EA app (no matter where on my computer I access it from). I can't even report errors because it gives me the same message.
It tells me that the product may not be designed for Windows - this can't be true as it was working on my PC perfectly fine up until yesterday.
It suggests uninstalling the program but I don't want to do this as I don't want to lose all the Sims instalments I've purchased!
NB:I don't know how to create an Error Report ID and also don't know what a 'sticky post' is. Is there a simpler way of letting you know something isn't working for those of us who are not familiar with very technical stuff?
Here is the message I keep getting every time I click on anything EA related on my computer.
Uninstall the app and reboot.
Get a fresh download of the installer: https://www.ea.com/ea-app
Install the app and reboot again*
Retry gaming at that point.
