Anticheat BSOD

First and foremost, I cannot believe it is so difficult to find a way to submit a support ticket to EA. It is almost insulting how much they obfuscate finding that information. Instead, they direct you to this forum and rely on free labor from the community to answer questions. What a great way to communicate that they could not care less about you (or other users) after the sale is made.

Second, I'm having trouble starting the game on a brand new Asus Zephyrus 14 laptop. In good ol' EA fashion, the anti-cheat is causing a BSOD and then the system automatically restarts. The stop code is: SECURE_PCI_CONFIG_SPACE_ACCESS_VIOLATION.

Things I've tried:

- Reinstalling the game and the EA app

- Core isolation toggle off and on

- Wiped the OS; fresh Windows 11 install

I'm running the game via Steam on Windows 11 Pro. I have plenty of system resources (RTX 4070, 32 GB RAM, 1.5 TB free space, etc.) All of this is running on a fresh OS.

Does anyone know what else I can try?

I found a solution that worked for me.
1. Delete the Anticheat files in the FC 25 folder.
2. Reinstall Anticheat using the installer in the FC 25 folder. Don't use repair files in the EA launcher.
This was what worked for me and haven't had any issues.

Adding to the list that I've wiped the OS and started fresh. The issue persists.

There may be antivirus software present as part of your OS install, check if temporarily disabling that antivirus has an effect, thanks.

The only thing this computer has is Windows Defender in its standard configuration. There are no other antivirus or firewalls installed on this computer.
Do you think Windows Defender could be the problem?

I've tried disabling the firewall, disabling Defender, and I'm getting the same result.The first thing I do when I reimage a computer is remove manufacturer bloatware from the OS, anti virus included.

I am also in the same boat with the exact same laptop. FC 24 ran fine, I purchased FC 25 today and now both apps won't launch instead they both prompt the BSOD and the error code.

Additional Bluescreen (BSOD) troubleshooting steps:

Make sure all available Windows Updates and hardware driver updates are installed

Run System File Checker to ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833

Perform a clean boot before starting the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
