Unable to connect on switch

Playing on Nintendo switch, I am unable to connect to FC24. I have played online with no issues the last couple of days but today I am at my partners house and am getting the message

”Unable to connect to the EA servers. Please check your internet connection, make sure the Platform Client is online and try again”

Have checked switches connection to the local wifi and seems to be no issue, I can get online with other games. Any ideas?

    Hello @AlanaLouise 

    First, please be sure that your Nintendo account is properly linked up with your EA account by following the steps here. 

    Next, you'll want to check over the Nintendo parental controls to make sure there aren't any settings blocking online play there.

    Then please hold the power button down on the Switch for 15 seconds to clear the system cache and then try reconnecting- if you're still not able to connect, you'll want to get in contact with live support from this site https://go.ea.com/HowToEAHelp so they can investigate into this a bit further with you to see what's causing this error.

    I can’t connect to my ea account on the switch — just says server is not available-/

    it is not a internet issue as the switch is connected to internet 

    the switch account is for a minor -/ but there are no parental controls on-/ could that get issue ? Do you have to be certain age to be able to do so?

    we are trying to do this in fifa 24

    if I try to link my accounts online - there is no option for switch (only PlayStation Xbox Amazon etc ..)

    so annoying - we want to play fifa with friends

    Due to the online restrictions on underage or children's accounts, you will not be able to link a child's account up or access the online features for this game. You can read up on this more at the bottom of the page here.
