I'd like to clarify some points regarding the creation of Child & Teen accounts. 

There are some differences between Child and Teen accounts, and that's the reason why you cannot link the Child account manually to the Parental account. But if you used your Parental email for the child account creation, you should have control over that account. You can find further information here.

Regarding accessing online modes, there are age restrictions on child accounts for accessing online content. Once they’ve reached the minimum age, they can upgrade (or “age up”) their child account to a teen account.
