I don't think that this is a Mac-specific issue, just a gameplay bug. Does the repair technician appear to shout and stamp their feet and look as though they can't reach the apartment? If so then there is some kind of routing issue. Other than that I'm not sure what the problem could be - does this happen with other properties? The only other thing I can think of is that the objects themselves are glitched and are not showing up as "broken" so the technician turns up but then doesn't think there is anything to be fixed. I think your sim might be best off just fixing the appliances themselves on this occasion!
