Dragon Valley on Steam
Hi! So I have The Sims 3 installed via Steam (I have it added on EA app too, but the thing is, the launcher seems outdated when I install it via EA App and it doesn't allow me to download rewards claimed on The Sims 3 Store website so I prefer to have them installed via Steam) and I wanted to buy Dragon Valley via The Sims 3 store as it's on discount. However, the website seems to bring me to the EA app and force purchase via EA App. So my question is - if I do so, will I still be able to download it while having it installed via Steam (if you know what I mean ;_;)?
HanakoTheStealer Is one of these the website you're using?
https://www.ea.com/en/games/the-sims/the-sims-3/buy/addon/the-sims-3-dragon-valley
https://www.ea.com/en/games/the-sims/the-sims-3/buy/addon/the-sims-3-dragon-valley-gold-editionYou should be able to make a purchase from one of those without going through the EA App (I tried just now and got to the payment details screen), and in fact it's more reliable this way. Once you've made the purchase, take your code and register it at store.thesims3.com, signed into your EA account, whichever one you've used to register your Steam copy of Sims 3. Then you can download it from your purchase history or its product page.
I have a Steam install as my main copy of Sims 3, and I use all my purchased worlds with it, including DV. So do many other players. It works fine as long as your Steam product code is registered to the EA account that also owns the world(s) in question.
