Unable To Access EA Servers Error

Not sure whats occurred but since update 1.4.1 i've been "unable to connect to ea servers".

Here's the thrilling twist in the plot though - it honestly cant be the case and here's why -

1, i was racing in a club with friends on WRC - the club is still visible on my racenet account - and when the owner changed the club to xbox only and i ran the last set of stages my times also updated on racenet - surely this require server access?

2, so here's a thing - my "enable cross play option is greyed out in the "off" position.....HOWEVER!....dun dun dun......seems after exstensively hunting through every and all of my xbox settings appears everything crossplay and otherwise is set too "allowed" - also how weird is this - logged in to do a league race on f1 23 (also an ea game) and no issues what so ever.

3, so of course - i cant access the server and therefore ant access the online multiplayer elements of the game.....so because i dont believe in buying a product that doesnt work i contacted the help team on live chat, went through my issue and they raised a case, told me they would pass my issues over to the game team after we went through all the possible trouble shooting attempts that are listed - this is where the issue however gets really steamy - cause once i was sent away with my ea reference number for my case i dont actually have a timescale for a resolution - just to sit......wait......and think of weird and wonderful new ways to clog up the forum maybe?????

4, So decided to day i'd give the guys at ea help a nudge - might be an update and two things suddenly set off alarm bells -

4.1 - so my case reference has attached to it "waiting on gamer" - waiting for what? and having scoured my emails i see theres no request for further information eor anything along the lines of supporting my case????

4.2 - and when i try to get back in touch - well thats the fun part - i think ive been round half the topics about a dozen times and still dont appear to have a way of actually being able to physically speak to someone to understand whats going on.

so where does that leave me? taking hits in the bank balance to play games that i really enjoy - hard earned moola that goes straight into the machines back burner - and after years of supporting ea by doing this i finally need them to step upto the plate and support me - yeah dont feel thats actually going to happen.

so if someone does come along and thinks - wow this guys issue is actually looking into - heres some quick bullet points:

-the ea wrc server appears to be the only crossplay server i cant access

-followed the troubleshooting guide to the letter

-the actual game "enable crossplay" option wont even let me change it to "on"

-theres no way for me to speak to someone about my open ticket

-racenet shows my details down to the very microseconds i crossed the line

-oh....and everything worked perfectly until 1.4.1 update came in - so whys it impacting me?

I just want someone to care and help

    HI @FGEWMHM

Thanks for reaching out to the WRC Community here on Answers HQ!

Would it be possible to get a bit more information?

Would it be possible to get more information on this?

    • EA ID (PSN ID/Gamertag):
    • Does this happen to any other account on the device?
    • What is your NAT Type?
    • What type of network are you using? (Wired, Wireless, Hotspot)
    • Is anything else happening?
    • Please share any steps you've tried to far to resolve the issue:
    • If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...

We can use this information, to help make the team aware of the issue and to further investigate.

    Cheers!

  • Hey, are you still having this issue? I had something similar happen to me - I couldn't access any online features and the Clubs page showed that I wasn't part of any clubs (playing on Xbox). After performing a full stat reset (options menu, save management) I was able to regain access to everything. I had to figure it out myself, as EA Support was useless.

@FGEWMHM Have you tried these steps to see if they work?
