Re: EA SPORTS™ WRC - Patch 1.4.0 Discussion Thread

Great!!!

Updated game - PS5.

T300 RS wheel.

Game recognizes my T300... BUT. Maybe EA will be so kind, and give me a hint:

where on T300RS wheel is  "Top Left"? There is NO "Top Left" on T300RS!!!

where on T300RS wheel is Green dot (on main screen, Optionsand Extras)) - There is NO Green dot on T300RS!!!

where on T300RS wheel is Red dot  (on main screen - Select) - There is NO Red dot on T300RS!!!

Very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, guys... I WANT my money baCk!!!

Right... just remembered - on PS5 theres no way you can refund!!! NICE!!! 😉

    No wheel, no problem!

    Step by step:

    1. Turn off PS5.

    2. Disconnect Thrustmaster T300RS wheel from console.

    3. Unmount T300R wheelbase, pedals (in may case Thrustmaster T-LCM) and any other accessories (like handbrake) etc. from rig.

    4. Clean carefully (not using any strong alcohol-based liquids) wheel, pedals, hanbrake etc. *

    5. Search for boxes (hopefully you can find original boxes for your wheel, pedals, handbrake) etc.

    6. Take a time and put all your stuff into original boxes and seal with tape.

    7. Open your computer or phone or tablet.

    8. Open web browser and got to ebay.

    9. Log in (or if you don't have ebay account - create one) and put your T300RS, T-LCM and all other stuff on sell.

    10. Return to your racing rig.

    11. Turn on your PS5 console.

    12. Make sure your PS5 controller is charged (or make sure your PS5 console is close enough to your rig, so that you can play with wire controller).

    13. Select from main menu on top of your PS5 console game called "EA Sports WRC" and voila - youre good to go, problem with T300RS solved! Forget T300RS and play with PS5 controller!!! Works 100%!!!

    * 4.5 - after cleaning it is good idea to make lot of pictures (with your phone for example) - you need them later, look at no 9.

  • @Toy4584 Yeah, I am on XSX with a Thrustmaster TS XW and I had the same thing after the patch. I had to select my wheel and then load a preset. That fixed it but I had to redo all of my bindings.
I am not sure what Codies are doing, but they have seriously dropped the ball.

    @Evaredy11

Tried that... I can't figure out, how I can fix it.

The MOST ridiculous thing is, that I think I figured out at last, which button is "Enter" and which button is "Escape" (so to speak). BUT weirdest thing is, that 99,9999% of all my racing games (dozens and dozens) over many-many years, ALL uses default (without any bindings) the same rule - "X" on PS controller means "Enter" and "Circle" means "Escape"... And it's not only racing games - I think 99,99999% of ALL games uses the same default bindings... What about EA WRC?!? Exactly on the contrary!!!!

Even more funny thing is, that theres no way to change bindings in navigating menus! I can see, that in binding menu there is "Red dot" (Menu Navigation Select), but theres no way to bind another button to that!!! 🙂

It is exactly the same, if some day some genius thinks ,that it is very good idea to change traffic lights coloring - for example top is BLUE, middle is WHITE and bottom is YELLOW... Exactly the same!!!

But WHY?!?!? And I really want to know the name of that genius...

Seems like whoever made these genius bindings for PS5 / T300RS, he or she NEVER played not a single game on PS...

Change of event = settings of the steering wheel overwritten and no longer playable.

Fanatec CSL DD 8NM with BMW 3 GT2 V2, CSL Shifter and Pedals V3 via Base.
Before 1.4 the Equpipent still worked except for the option with the automatic gear change.

Now, after changing to a new location, the steering wheel suddenly has 3000° instead of 900° or 540°. Quit the game, restart it and it is correct again until the next event. It's just annoying during time trials. Career or championship are not playable this way. By the way, WRC has recently overwritten my settings in the Fanatec drivers or those in the Fanalab.

    PC Win 11

    Rocket Lake I9 11900

GF 2080 Super (Asus Strix Rog)

64 {4x16} GB RAM @3200, 100 Bus (Corsair on Asus Rog MB)

SSD Samsung EVO980 2x1TB on PCIEx

Fanatec CSL DD 8NM Kit, P V3 Pedals via Base, H8 CS Shifter switchable and CS Handbrake via Base
