Another year of f1 and another year of terrible testing once again. G923 steering wheel with intermittent true force kicking in but no physical force feedback with up to date settings before you blame it on that…
- ha6hk3w77mwj2 years agoRising Veteran@ryanoliver21 It’s unbelievable that the same gamebreaking bugs are present every year. I hope people learnt from ‘23 and didn’t buy the champions edition and payed €30 to play 3 day’s early wich is impossible with the bugs. It’s the same every year, learn from it

Summarize your bug Force Feedback Stops at Low Speeds: The force feedback on the G29 stops working when driving slowly in F1 2024, but then kicks back in at higher speeds, sometimes causing the wheel to * or lock in one direction. If i try my G29 in F1 2023 it works fine, so its not my G29.
What is your 16 digit Report Code?
What peripherals are you using? Please list the exact make and model. Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel inklusive Pedals (Playstation Version)
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? Telekom
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By connecting a G29 wheel that is properly connected to the computer via the GHub app, go into Time Trial mode. When you brake hard, for example, at the first corner in Monza, as you enter the corner (naturally at a slow speed), the force feedback turns off. When you accelerate out of the corner, the force feedback kicks in abruptly and the wheel may * completely to the left or right and stay there.
What happens when the bug occurs? You have to tab out of the game so that the steering wheel can move freely again, but in the end the game is unplayable with the G29. Game braking bug
What do you expect to see? That I can steer normally and that force feedback doesn't go crazy

Summarize your bug ⚽ I have absolutely ZERO FFB on track. I have more wheel resistance in the menus. 🏈 If I press the throttle 40% (the game is showing throttle input to 40%), my car will literally MAYBE get to 2kph, and I can NEVER get to full speed. 🏀 The turning is impossible. I can barely make T1 on bahrain, and I have to turn my wheel like 360 degrees to do so, I have played with all sorts of steering angles and NOTHING works. How is this happening on a Fanatec setup, I have literally never had this issue before. Especially on hardware your esports drivers use.

What happens when the bug occurs? No FFB, terrible throttle input, and terrible turning input.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see it fixed...Idk how to answer this question, it is weird.
I just don't understand how in the world Fanatec, the freaking primary esports hardware, isn't working day 1 on this game, when it works fine when I open F1 23 and iRacing.
The controller works fine, but it is a crapshoot when I start each session as to whether or not the Force Feedback works. About half the time that I start a Practice Session, Qualification, Sprint or Race I need to pause the game, crawl out of my racing set up, unplug and replay in the wheel, then the feedback works. I shouldn’t need to do this. To prevent racing without feedback online, I am required to unplug and replay for every session just to be safe.

- @2euoxqb272hq You’d hope that EA / codemaster would’ve learned from last year and done more robust testing. Wishful thinking

Have you tried to update everything on G Hub and follow the steps that some players have shared on this thread?
-Groguet
- @EA_Groguet NOTHING is working for my Fanatec setup. I'm 24 hours away from cancelling my EA Play and not playing F1 24. Have had absolutely ZERO help from EA across Twitter, reddit, and this forum.
I play on PS5, as I know, there is no need to update my Logitech Pro Racing wheel.
So do I have to wait for a patch coming the next week?
Thanks for the support
- @EA_Groguet There’s clearly an issue with the game, what’s being done about it and when will it be fixed?
- @catpantalones @EA_Groguet
Can somebody please respond to this issue I am having. It's unreal the lack of responses I am getting on here. Why do I pay for EA Play Pro just not have the ability to play the games? It's very frustrating.
It's always the same. They'll probably fix it in a month's time when they decide to abandon TrueForce to make Force Feedback work. Just like last year.
The curious thing is that the G923 works properly in ALL other games.- @catpantalones It’s completely unacceptable not acknowledging the fault and providing no form of update to users @EA_Groguet why can’t this these issues be shared and updated on social media?
- NormBash842 years agoRising Scout@Wielewski25 Yes it does. I too have a G923. Last years game they used the wheel in the advisement of the game.. yet it didn't even work in the game. Here we are again.. a year later.. wild to me that this is the problem again. It's almost as if they didn't even try to test it.. again... a year's worth of complaints I would think should warrant some checking of wheels for compatibility becoming a must do.. if it already wasn't.... however, the perception seems to be that it wasn't a must do. Again....
- ha6hk3w77mwj2 years agoRising Veteran@ryanoliver21 Fix should be fast i think, they had the problem last year and fixed it. So they know what the bug is and what the fix is, but it’s ea/codemasters so it will most likely take 3 to 4 weeks
- NormBash842 years agoRising Scout@ha6hk3w77mwj that's just it. They didn't fix the problem last year. they just made it so trueforce wouldn't work. that's not a fix in my mind. Specially when they advertise for the wheel to work properly. Its either some FFB with no trueforce and the wheel lights dont work. or whatever this is right now. which wont work. Its literally last years problems again..
- ha6hk3w77mwj2 years agoRising Veteran@NormBash84 Ok, on ps5 they fixed it and forcefeedback and treuforce both worked on my logitech pro. Xbox had treuforce problems ifbi remember correctly

Hey there,
This thread has been escalated and the game team is currently investigating the issue. As soon as I have more information I will let you know and I will keep you updated.

Hello @EA_Groguet,
I have no idea how, but I found a sort of fix that might help you with this issue.
My steering wheel: I have the Logitech G29, including pedals (PlayStation version). I am playing on a PC.
The problem I’m experiencing: I have the Logitech GHub app, which is updated to the latest version 2024.4.*****. When I go into Time Trial mode, everything is fine until I approach a curve and need to brake. Then, the force feedback "turns off," and as soon as I accelerate out of the curve, it kicks back in. Often, the steering wheel then jerks completely to the left or right on its own. I’ve spent over 14 hours trying to resolve this issue.
I have two other computers with an older version of Logitech GHub installed, 2024.3. When I connect my steering wheel to these computers, everything works perfectly with no bugs. My friend also has a G29 steering wheel with the 2024.3 version of GHub on his PC, and it works flawlessly. The problem for me is that on my main PC, I have no way to install the older version of GHub; it always updates automatically to 2024.4, no matter which installer I use (older or the current 2024.3 installer).
My fix: I installed the old Logitech Gaming Software and uninstalled GHub. Then, I was able to play the game, but with very weak force feedback, which wasn’t good either. Then, I reinstalled GHub while the game was running, tabbed back into the game after installation, and the buttons on the steering wheel didn't work. Then, I unplugged the wheel from the PC and plugged it back in. The buttons worked again, and as long as I didn’t close the game, the force feedback worked perfectly in all modes.
Conclusion: The issue is definitely with the GHub app. It’s possible that the new version 2024.4 is optimized for the G923, but for the G29, it’s a disaster.
I hope you understand everything.
And yes, I tried everything else beforehand. I reinstalled everything. I tried all the solutions from the forums, and even reinstalled Windows.
Best regards.
