Wow, wake up to see this thread now being 10 pages, no solution yet,
I do sleep and do have a daytime job, so not able to join Discord chats and actively do QA work unpaid for EA. But if there is anything I can still try or send here please tell.
Just hope that this is solved soon as my son is VERY anxious to play F1 24. Never had any issues with F123 or any other EA game before.
Would love to see my son to have fond memories of EA like I have as kid. Personally I have been a paying EA customer literally 40 years now, still have working Commodores on which I still play EA software from then like M.U.L.E.
And also a paid subscriber to EA Play Pro since it exists.
so just hope this gets resolved soon, because this is very frustrating.
By the way: why does this thread now have a Solved icon?
Do I miss a solution to the issue somewhere?

We have a workaround posted by @Karlo3110 that worked for some players and it is marked as a solution to increase visibility.
The game team keeps investigating this issue.

Ok, will try that, first deinstalling and re-downloading again. Will post if this works also here.
- @xahmol solution appears with checkbox next to it. It fixed the issue we had with opening the game for like 5+ people that had it.
We also downloaded origin I think:

Even though it works for me I am willing to help on the same discord that we sent to make it work for rest of people.
- It is that for this poster who posted the issue .. it is the solution that is why it was marked as solution. Others have different issue that we need to analyze. If everyone else is willing to join discord that would help since we can analyze faster.

Hey there,
I understand how frustrating this must be for you, so I'm going to try to bring some light to the thread. We have reports on players that cannot launch the game, but the issue changes from player to player (some had issues with AMD divers, others with EA Play Pro, others with Origin, others with their Logitech wheel...). Right now, we are trying to collect as much info as we can so the game team can work on each problem separately and we can try to bring you the best workarounds.
Some workarounds here might work for you, but you might be experiencing another issue. The team is doing their best to fix the problem. As soon as we have more information I will let you know.

- @EA_Groguet myb if you can change the thread title to "Can't launch the game - multiple solutions and issues" or something like that .. just so that people don't click away since we are mostly doing different issues here.
Also feel free to join us on discord if you want to participate on finding solutions for other people and follow what we are talking about. Might be faster for everyone.

Hey All. Anyone still having this issue and has a Logitech wheel, can you double check that G HUB is updated? As of 1am UK time today everyone should have access to the update. The latest version is 2024.4
Unable to play. I have the EA Play pc app. EA Play Pro subscription. I am able to play other games in my libary except F1 24.
Clean install twice on two different hard drives. Same error.
I enter my ea email and password and it just clears out.
Bit the bullet and bought the game on steam and it's working flawlessly (thus far).

- Which error message are you encountering?
- Can you launch the game at all?
- When does the crash happen?
- Can you attach a picture of the issue you are having?
- Have you used any workaround?
- Have you purchased F1® 24 apart from having the subscription?
- Can you share your EA app Error log with us?

Or do you mean de-installing the EA App also? Rather not do so as I want to avoid also the rest not working anymore. Just F1 24 not working is already bad enough, but having EA Play Pro of course F1 24 is not the only EA game my son plays.
The EA App says funny enough that I played 41 minutes already. Weird as the game did not even start once.

- do not get any error message. It just lets the EA Play app pop up again and nothing happens.
- no, game does not launch at all. It just shows the F1 2024 splash screen, then the choice between normal and VR edition, then few seconds nothing and than the EA Play app pops up. No error message, nothing.
- As indicated above: crash happens after the dialogue to choose between normal and VR version. That box disappear on choosing the normal version, than nothing happens for a few secs, than the EA App appears. That is it, game never starts.
- of which should I attach a picture? I do not see a visible error or crash message. The game just does not start and the EA app pops up again.
- yes, tried several thing: installing both Dutch and English language versions, tried repairing, reinstalling. Tried the Exploit protection workaround. Tried installing Origin. Nothing yet works. Do not have any Logitech device connected to the laptop, so that is the only thing I did not try as I do not have any version of the Logitech software installed afaik.

Contacted EA support to be told ''theres nothing we can do'' - Have you purchased F1® 24 apart from having the subscription?

- @xahmol my steam is also counting each attempt at launching as "game time" because the executables are initializing after steam has handed over to them before launching. thus every minute of attempted intialization is counting as "game time".

Hey there,
As I was saying before, in this thread we have different issues affecting players, so what it might be helping you it might not work for others. I am writing this post to try to compile the workarounds that some of you have been posting.
I am going to mark this post as a solution to increase visibility. However, that doesn't mean that the issue has been fixed. The team keeps investigating it and trying to find a solution.

For all of you who are having issues with the EA Play Pro edition, can you answer the questions below?
- Which error message are you encountering? "We could not activate F1 24 Champions Edition + Limited Time Bonus on this computer using the EA Account you provided."
- Can you launch the game at all? No
- When does the crash happen? As soon as you launch the game the black f1 24 anti cheat loads and then exits.
- Can you attach a picture of the issue you are having? Yes, attached.
- Have you used any workaround? Not within the EA app. Attempted the origin + f off ea github installer and still nothing.
- Have you purchased F1® 24 apart from having the subscription? The only thing that worked for me was buying the full game on Steam.
- Can you share your EA app Error log with us? Yes, I submitted it already.

Hey there,I took a look at your session just to see what's up in case it was anti-cheat related. I can confirm that the game is crashing for you, in DirectX.
Looks like you have something that's force loading some DLSS DLLs into the game and perhaps that's not playing nicely.
I've already passed this onto the game team for them to take a look further.
In the meantime, can you confirm that you've got the latest NVIDIA drivers updated on your machine?

Updating the drivers was the first thing I tried when the first Chinese version was not working. That was when the bug that Chinese as installed by default was still there, In that Chinese version I think I saw a dialogue referring to NVidia (my Chinese is a bit rusty ;-) ) so updated the driver.
But assume the DxDiag I posted earlier in this thread specifies driver version?
in my DxDiag:
Driver File Version: 32.00.0015.5585 (English) Driver Version: 32.0.15.5585
And that appears indeed to be the most recent one, released 21 May 2024:
1. I get no error messages the game crashes immedestialy after cllcking Play F1 24.
2. The black F! 24 screen loads then the dialog box with Play F124 Play F1 24 VR comes up, clicking on Play F1 24 the game crashes and brings up the EA App.
#3. Instanly on clicking Play F1 24
4 Nor really, it just crashes and brings up the EA App
5. Reinstalled 3 times, tried launching from the desktop icon
5 No. I'm not throwing down £60 afer paying for a year of Play Pro.
6. No error message- if you could tell me where to look I'd supply them, nothing on Event Viewer or DX diag

@xahmol Understood, no worries, can't win them all with the basics and I'm still getting used to catching up on threads here. 🙂
I'm sure Codemasters will keep investigating!
The anticheat folks are here on standby if we can pinpoint anything that makes it look like we broke it. I would just add that the Exploit Protection workaround hasn't worked either.
Same, i ve formatted the PC 2 times, one with win 11 and now with win 10
And I tried all the fixes I searched on web and in this forum and nothing
Even with the Origin it dont work, I cant connect to the servers using origin, with anti virus disabled and firewall disabled
At this point I just want a refund
