Re: Cheating in apex legends !?

Cheaters exist but whats even worse to the whole "hacking problem" is all the people who see hackers around every corner, only because some opponent get lucky with a spray or a sniper HS etc. In many cases, it just a little thing called "skill difference". What some people can do is just so far out of another players skill range so he thinks its hacking.

Here are just three situation that happened during my last gaming session where I probably got multiple false reports from people who felt "cheated". 

Situation 1: Just a good spray. One-clipping a guy from not super close range which isnt a big deal if your opponent is like at a gold-skill level. After that, me and my teammate quickly killed his only remaining teammate and the two of them was spectating me for quite some time and most likely sent reports.

Situation 2: Me and my team had just fought and knocked two of an enemy team in the EASTERN edge of Hydro dam. The second guy crawled away and fell  to the area under the east bridge so I followed him down to execute and shield swap. Then the last guy in the enemy squad attacked and clearly saw me standing down under the bridge. Then I ran to the west bridge and grappled up and intercepted him as he ran to what he believed was an enemy free direction.

After that, his entire team spectated me for at least 2 minutes, probably reporting me and said things like "speed hacker! he was under the bridge and suddenly he was up in the house and he turned his hacks off when we are spectating him waah waah.... " =)

Situation 3: The most bizarre situation of them all. My random teammate who was dead and spectated me reported me. He said like "FU you hacker. I can see that your aim is snapping, Im gonna report you"... Wtf??

Hey mate, lets talk about your cases quick and why it should be actually clear to anyone with brain and some kind of understanding why that is pretty legit... i mean macro could be in play but its impossible to tell tbh

1: well what to say r301 on 15 meter is just a laser xD

2: didnt see speedhack in a while in apex tbh, i think they spected you cuz of the wraithkill... your tracking there was good but since you have reactiontimes everytime the wraiths changes direction, it looks legit and you missed some bullets, a controller wouldve been more accurate there xD

3:i dont know what were snapping there but that was nothing fancy at all

Anyways you seem to be a decent player and reports for something like this might happen while it is nothing compared to people like lyr1c or Lou^^

But in apex there is a huge issue, and you cannot really deny it, there are big streamernames out there playing apex and they are suspicious af

I would never consider someone like lyr1c a cheater...hell man that guy is insane and his raw mechanics are probably the best

But when i see high ranked pred players with silver movement and insane recoilcontrol then i start to question that person

Sometimes things just dont fit together and you have many "top" tier apex players where exactly that is the case, their overall gameplay is nothing more but gold but when it comes to tracking and recoilcontrol its on point

And then there are controllerplayers, i wont start a debate of if its fair or not to have AA, i mean its a competetive game moreis not needed to be said there

But they have insane tracking cqc without reactiontime and when i see someone like this i need to decide is it either a cheater or is it a controllerplayer

This makes it allrdy more complicated to identify a cheater

Pls spare me with all the get gud comments i am 31 years old i have been arround in FPS all my life and was for multiple years GE in csgo and played for the back then new forming german playing ducks squad back when css was a thing

Yeah there are ofc many cases when there is no doubt someone is cheating. All I am saying is that too  many draw that conclusion to fast and especially since there are SO many smurfs in ranked, and so wide SBMM in casual, where "silver-to-gold skilled players" are mixed with "diamond-to-predator skilled players".

I am not among the top tier of players at all, but I have 2.4 k/d and have never had problems getting out of Diamond 4 every season I tried and can give a Predator a run for his money in a 1v1. However; I get killed in an instant sometimes when I go up against a master or predator. So all I am saying is that I think that we all must just acknowledge the truth that what some players can do to me can I do to a gold player any day in the week.

So all I am saying is that IF you are a player with max a 2k dmg badge and struggles to get out of Platinum, then perhaps THATS why people insta-kills you, and not because they are 100% hacking =)

PS and I agree that one thing that will give a first indication that someone is hacking is movement, just like you mentioned; if a low level guy has god tier aim but moves like a silver, then something is really fishy; however; if someone has god tier aim AND movement AND high level, 10k kills etc, then I choose to go with the rational way, i.e that he might just legit be that good.

LOL, why do people even do this?

To be clear, I'm not saying you are cheating, I am saying it is it ridiculous to say "show me where I am cheating in this video I provided"
