- Personally i wouldn't like to see it, not so much to avoid the trolling/toxicity that i sometimes saw in PUBG, but more because it just encouraged people not to use in game chat and use Discord/Team speak instead to avoid it. This killed queuing and communicating with randoms for me in PUBG.
I'd like to add..
IF apex adds proximity chat, they should NOT do it like pubg, where people have to switch channels between team and world.
There should be a "world push to talk" key, separate from the normal PTT key. And world should always be PTT. users should be able to set the volume of world chat, independent of team chat - and hear them both at the same time.
Just put a setting to where you can turn it off or on and that problem is solved. Simple problems require simple solutions. And make it to where its completely off if you turn if it off. Meaning if its off, you cant hear the other team either. Everybody wins. Both parties who want get what they want!
This feature only encourages toxicity and teaming and thus should NEVER be implemented in ANY way.
