- @Reinwolf23 I'm sorry, it's still a little overpowered the way it is now.
I saw someone get hit for 140s in one shot. I was shocked to see this happen. I never knew a Charge Rifle could do 140 damage in one shot to the head against white armor and a white helmet. Wraith went from like 150 HP to 1-3 HP. She was almost dead.
I guess they have to get rid of the Tick damage or something. If they do, they would have to increase the damage of the beam to 50.
I assume the Tick Damage of the weapon can headshot? I can't tell as I can't even figure out how a Charge Rifle did 140s to a 150 Level 1 Armor/Helmet Wraith.
That Wraith was a Predator in a Predator Lobby as well. He had no choice but to be a rat due to events in that happened to his team. So whoever headshot him across the map already has god like aim made easier with the Charge Rifle. Granted, the Wraith wasn't moving until they got hit and phased away. Like I said, I honestly feel it would be best served as a care pack weapon, with a slight buff. As it is jow, the mastiff and kraber totally outshine it, at least imo, so it would need at least a slight buff. It's honestly not terrible to fight against, other than how toxically numerous it is.
I wish I could delete this thread lol.
I would like it to get another nerf. I hate getting third party by this weapon. If it was a Care package weapon. I would be fine with it as long as it had a super rare spawn rating.
You can give it 12 + 60 Ammo for a total of 24 shots before it is empty.
I also noticed that the people using the Charge Rifle are terrible when you get closer to them and SMG/Assault/LMG/Shotgun them.
No more nerfs needed. I get more wins than knockdowns with the Charge Rifle. It took me a week to complete the 10 knockdowns challenge, with probably only half of those being actual kills. It's also pretty easy to avoid getting fried by it, while the eternal reloading time often gives my enemies a decent chance to get me in their gun's range. Haven't seen it used much since the latest nerf, another one coming might bury it for good.
Nerf the damage of Charge rifle because it's easy to use or better delete it! 🙂
Nobody uses Longbow, Triple Take anymore.
2 easy shots and if you have blue shield you are down.
I'm near the end of Platinum 2 in Ranked and it's very annoying.
At least Longbow and Triple Take require skill to hit a Headshot + bullet drop.
- @DoYaSeeMe It took you a week to get 10 knockdowns unless you used a Charge Rifle? That's a problem.
But the Charge Rifle actually does need a 3rd nerf. I made this thread the same day it got the 2nd nerf. I made my Judgement too soon. The Fall Off Damage was good and all but the damage for this weapon is too much.
I rather see it as a Care Package and the L-Star as the normal loot pool weapon. - @Leo_the_Lion25 There is a weekly challenge of getting 10 knockdowns with the Charge Rifle, I am referring to that one. The overall number of knockdowns I get every week is in the hundreds and I'm also a fan of snipers and do like to pick up the CR most of the times I find it. So, assuming that the CR is OP, the challenge shouldn't have taken me more than 1-2 days to complete. But it ended up taking an entire week, with many matches where it got me killed with its endless reload time or where I ended up doing all the dirty work with the other weapon, as the CR was too slow and ineffective in those situations.
This weapon feels like a gamble right now. I feel that it needs some versatility added through a hopup, to remain fun and interesting long term.
