I don’t agree its the right thing to do, but Playstation/Microsoft have certain Guidelines Games have to follow in order for them to be accepted onto their platform
This sounds dumb but Microsoft has rules that in order for a game to have E rating there can’t be any voice chat or text chat, I mean this makes sence tbh with all the bad language available but my cousin plays roblox and they had text chat for xbox on certain games, but Microsoft made them remove text chat for xbox on all games or they were removing xbox from the Microsoft store so now shes unable to talk on any roleplay games that sadly require talking
I think part of the reason Microsoft/Sony have these Cross Platform issues is because they want you to play on their platform and not any of the competitors platforms, tbh imo this sounds dumb unless again its on microsofts end causing the issues... because they want people to pay for Xbox gold or live whatever every month and if you switch over to playstation or pc where its free they could lose potential money
i think its a scam of the gaming marketting industry so they can charge you for the same thing for each platform... For instance if you buy Minecraft in the Ios Apple Store, you won’t have it on the android Google Play Store
I gotta admit though these make sence but in the case with apex legends it dosnt, its a free game on all platforms and its your account, on most apps/games one account is all you need for each and you are free to play on any platform you want at any given time
Im assuming playstation has a sony account and xbox has a microsoft so i understand why that dosnt work because the 2 companys are competitors, but by that logic most pc users use microsoft software so xbox one users should be able to use their account on pc since its microsoft either way but im pretty sure you can’t
Im not disagreeing I think Apex Legends needs Cross Platform even though it wouldn’t benefit me much unless I bought a PS4 to do
