I am actually a little surprised most of the comments are quite positive, nice!
For me personally, I am not enjoying this map much at all. As far as I am concerned this map is literally Storm Point 2.0
We know the Dev's always mention not to rely on loot in bins.... that main loot is in buildings. With that being said, why is most POI's 80% loot bins with minimal ground loot.
Overall loot in general on Bowel Movement is awful. Played for 2 days, consistently awful. Like Recon said - can find all the crap loot you don't want and struggle to find decent or good loot.
I do not see the zips as a positive thing whatsoever. They divide the team on a regular basis. I play with randoms and these zips literally create even worse teammates disappearing. Once they are on it, they are gone. I don't want to navigate and strategize positioning and so on, relying on zips to get around counters those very things.
Too much foliage again same as storm point. Fine if you run a scan legend, but I do not and refuse to resort to scan legends to play. Its an integrity thing. I want to rely on skill and positioning, not a given hack which requires little to no skill. But for a non scan legend, I found areas of the map where on flat ground battling someone 25 meters away, the foliage actually surpassed mine and my opponents heads. Dumb! Guess this is where Advantage gets to have some fun.
I am surprised that considering the new legend in my opinion is best suited for close quarters combat in confined places like caustic - that most of the buildings are massive and not as viable to that characters kit. I assumed that based on her kit, Bowel Movement was going to be the opposite of SP and have many small buildings and many areas which would focus on CQC.
Anyways, it has some nice things but overall, Two thumbs down. I now am just waiting to play some Olympus.
P.S. - MM is awful out the gate.
Yes, it suck HARD! Very HARD!
To dont appear that Im troll, Ill do detail analysis why Storm point and broken moon are WORST maps ever, I'll do detailed analysis sometimes in future , but so far, I must do a rant to relax myself

"P.S. - MM is awful out the gate."
Absolutely the worst I have ever experienced in this game.
Not sure I'd call this map Storm Point II. It's big, but it's not that big. I would call it the single hardest map to rotate across. Maybe that's a matchmaking thing with lobbies full of thirsters, but I think the map is also part of the problem. Zip rails make it easy for aggressive players to chase, or just camp and wait for someone to zip into them. There are also so many bottle necks on this map that they may as well have called it Broken Choke Point. I guess this map is a love letter to Valkyrie. She never has to zip, she can go up and over the chokes, and whenever she rotates she gets a free heads up on all her enemies. Must be nice. - reconzero3 years agoSeasoned Ace@reconzero

Responding to myself? Whatever, recon.
Anyway, I actually took the plunge and started playing a different legend for the first time three years. Bye bye, Pathy. For now. Hello Valk, you winged devil. I just couldn't figure out any other way to work this new map, and guess what? She turned the trick. Like Pathy, she can get up to anything high at any time... not quietly, but then Pathfinder's grapple wasn't exactly silent. And Valk's height is higher. With Pathfinder you can get on a zip rail anywhere that has one of those support poles for grappling. With Valk you can get on a zip rail anywhere. Anywhere at all. Her ultimate is way handier than Pathfinder's zip line, although using it as a get-out-of-jail-free card is risky. Though no more than the zip line. The scan coming back down is invaluable. And cheap, as I've said before. This legend has so many crutches I'm surprised they didn't conceive of her character with a broken leg. But that's what it takes to survive Broken Moon. Not happy, Respawn. Not happy. Yeah, I didn't mean IMO its another SP because of its size, its definitely smaller....meant more in the land scape and awful foliage and color palate etc. I see the odd Olympus buildings and KC buildings place inside a smaller SP map.
I know you like SP Recon, but you half to agree that a higher count of players seemed to dislike SP compared to other maps. Which is why I was surprised that this new map was very similar to SP.
Also, Ive noticed in the past new maps seem to be built to make which ever new legend they release at the same time to be viable based on their kit abilities. So I was surprised that the map Bowel Movement...urr, Bad Map - urr sorry Broken Moon is geared more for again Valk and I would even go out on a limb and say it seems like this map was made for Vantage....certainty don't see how Catalyst's kit is a huge benefit on this particular map. IMO I see her kit to be something to dominate in CQC. Which is why I was excited when I saw what her abilities were - I just assumed the new map would be built around buildings closer together and more indoor battles.
But the POI's are again so spread out - and like you said terrible choke points or lack of. I think the zips were a terrible idea and just changes the entire game play. But with the giant open fields of death moving from POI to POI to find the worst loot IMO, in any map ever launched.... guess the zips are a must. I am surprised there isn't more Vantages popping ppl with ease with her free line of sight hack and broken hit reg - Very surprised.
I truly dislike this map, even more than SP. I found myself squinting and struggling to see ppl even feet in front of me. Starting getting headaches and watery eyes, just a * show. So it prompted me to go get my eyes checked - Im getting older and chalked it up as a possible age thing. Yes Bowel movement actually prompted me to go get an eye exam. Result was 20/20 vision. So why is this happening. Once Olympus and WE came back, I noticed no issues. So there is something off with the saturation in Bad Map, or the color palate in specific areas.... I dunno. But visually I am defeated. My son said the same thing. Said his eyes hurt on the map and can't see much of anything. I wonder if anyone else has experienced the same?
Also - sorry ranting here. I noticed the hit indicators are completely wacked. Sometimes north/south/east and west are all getting indicators but only one person is shooting me from one direction.
my squad of 3 with randos, we eliminated 2 on a team with the 3rd kicking around somewhere. My two teammates are looting the death boxes of the two eliminated players and all of a sudden I get hit indicators coming from straight ahead (north) while I'm looking at my teammates looting. Trying to look past them to see where is this guy thats hitting me. My teammates don't seem to be bothered - couldn't see anyone. I get downed and spin around 180 to see a bang 2 and a half feet behind me not sound and although the indicator showed I was being hit from north. She downed me from south. Just whack.
And yet again, just when I was positively sure that Respawn could never f*ck up sound more than they already have - these guys actually prove me wrong. Congrats Respawn, still shocking players, good on ya.
Absolute worse sound to date IMO from any other previous season.
Very disappointed in this new map - absolutely shocked that it is as liked as it seems. Shocked to all hell. But to each his own I guess. So much like SP, when Bad Map/Bowel Movement is in rotation, I just turn off the game and come back and play the other two maps and repeat.
On a final note, I find it absolutely disgusting that the heirloom issue is a - "fix sooner than later" yet all other issues reported for over 3 years still exist.
"What, the cosmetic store isn't working properly!? Everyone stop what you are doing! All hands on deck, everyone roll up your sleeves and lets fix this thing ASAP!"
"What, the sound engine is broken? Awh well, everyone back to work on skins. Yes even you map guy, gun guy, legend guy, and balance guy, I said everyone...back to working on skins and bundles!"

"I know you like SP Recon, but you half to agree that a higher count of players seemed to dislike SP compared to other maps."
I've never been concerned with how many players dislike a map I like, I'm concerned with why they dislike it. And in the case of SP let's just say that it boiled down to playstyle differences. And I would say that if one's playstyle is so rigid (or so dependent on quick and frequent adrenaline rushes) then battle royale may not be one's optimal game type regardless of the size of the maps.
That said, I don't dislike the new map as much as you, but I'm not in love with it either. Any map that forces me to play a different legend just to be competitive... that's probably some bad map design.
I haven't experienced any problems seeing where people are or noticed anything about the lighting that hurts my eyes. But oddly enough, I'm finally experiencing the Olympus framerate drops I've heard so much about. Go figure.

LMAO. It's funny because it's true. I agree, If you feel you need to abandon a legend due to the mechanics of a new map.....somethings off for sure.
It is hilarious because its so true LOL.
This is a good map, not a great map, but it is ok.
I like the monorail system, but this is the only unique feature I can find on the entire map. For example; King's Canyon has my favorite place Crypto's Map Room that allows you to ping the position of all the players. Olympus has unique places like Fight Night among other unique places. The Broken Moon has a nifty travel system, but every place you go is very generic.
If anyone has found a unique spot that isn't just name thing, I sure haven't found it. Even the map I dislike the most, WE has Bloodhound's Arena. Is there a place here for the new girl yet?
It is a good map but nothing to write home about.

No, Moon doesn't have anything like you're thinking of. But don't forget: all of those locations/features you named came with map updates, not with the original map. - @Apyhs I can only agree with you 🙂 find map also quite beautiful
