Re: End PING SPAMMING

Yeah really... I'll ping an enemy ONCE. If they're in sight, I only need to ping them once by pinging them directly with my reticle- not by double-tapping the ping button a billion times. (That's just for my settings perhaps)

But sometimes you have to use your own discretion for muting pings too. Like, sometimes I'll put a teammate on "timeout" and mute them for a bit- just to clear my head- then unmute them later on incase they calmed down a bit.

@StarMystro Totally agree. Yes if there's an enemy you actually only have to single-ping. An annoying thing too is something I've had in ranked a lot. I die, teammate dies, our 3rd dips to go get us better placement so save RP. The other killed teammate ping spams their banner cuz they're mad, and because I'm dead too I can't access the settings to mute them. They should probably add that in. Or if they want to get on the mic an harass our 3rd who's still alive. I cant mute them.

Ah that's even worse-! I forgot you can't access the banners when you're dead in-game! I usually mute those constant banner pings too...

  • Ping spamming does nothing but make it impossible to hear anything but the ping noise.  Gets me killed all the time by covering game sounds so I can't hear enemy positions.  A solution as stated above, have a timed cap on pings, if they ping 5 times immediately, disable pings for 5 seconds.  Then 30 seconds, then 2 mins.  Because seriously, just like quitting early there should be a penalty for this stupid childish behavior.
