Re: Season 17 Rank Not Off To A Good Start.

@llAnxiety2Kll "Threw myself off the map all 10 games and still got gold"

So if you're "bad", you're a gold player, why have a rookie to silver ranking then? It makes no sense and seems to reward players who throw matches on purpose.

I was thinking the same thing. But the devs said their matchmaking system is new I guess there's a flawed in it.

@llAnxiety2Kll Nah, its called negligence. When you fail 10 "placement" matches in a row, especially with zero kills and damage, it means you're not that good, and most likely cannot handle a higher lobby.

Although on the other hand, preds could just fail their matches and then go back to smurphing by being put into a rookie rank. However after a few matches, if the system actually works how its suppose to, they'll be in pred level matches.

Looks like rank 3.0 (S17) is worse than rank 2.0 (S13), and it might as well be called pubs.

@llAnxiety2Kll In match 5/10, so far, all my teammates have been very bad at the game or they played like a bot. In other words, they weren't grabbing upgraded gear when its pinged, such as armor, they run into fights as a solo and with nothing, etc.

I think the reason why the MMR is hidden from us is because there isn't one.

Edited: Just got out of match 6, teammates were okay, better even, but they decided to push the last two teams fighting while they both, (my teammates) were at a huge disadvantage and I was unable regroup with them as easily.

Edited 2: Just finished playing my 10th match, the game made me be rookie I. I'm sorry... what? I'm not a "rookie". The game kept giving me terrible teammates and bot teammates, and the enemy teams were usually a bunch of cheaters. I've only won one of the placement matches, and I that was when the game didn't give me bots or bad players as teammates. After winning, it just curb stomped me.

Makes zero sense if @llAnxiety2Kll threw their matches and was placed in gold, @Balladalidila tried their best and was given silver with around 5 kills, and I'm guessing bad placement, and I was mostly placing top 10's with a about 4 being top 13-17, and I'm rookie. This system just sounds like the better you manage to preform, the lower the starting rank you get, which caters to not having any kind of skill what so ever and is thus boring, lame, and makes the mode look like a joke.

Assuming the ladder points add up each match and counts from the provisional matches, I should be a much higher rank, as about 6 of my matches, I had 200+ LP, and it currently says I only have 673, which isn't what I should have

Edited 3: Just found out that an ALGs player made it to pred in 50 matches with zero kills and zero damage, they just ratted the whole time. 10/10 rank system!

They need to allow us to opt out of having duo teammates. If two players are squaded up together, I do NOT want them as teammates. Just had a match where we lost because the duo decided to hog loot and then they attracted a team to us and got killed because they couldn't aim... like... at all.
