This ranking change was made because of the complaints of the pros 100%. They want only pros at the highest ranks. To me this is totally stupid because Apex ranks are an amateur metric on a public gaming platform. This kind of grind is going to kill ranked Apex from the top down. The pros won't even be in it because the Ques will be too long. No one else will be able to reach higher skill groups because it takes TOO MUCH TIME to grind the RP with the massive losses with even one or two bad games. 

I get the idea of deranks, I don't get the idea of the massive grind added. One problem was "solved" while creating 5 more. I can't wait to see how many ranked players ride out the entire first split.
