So at first I did play with two household sims there. They travelled with him: but I had saved the game prior and for some reason it didn’t save until they were actually on campus. I ended up restarting from that point and I sent them both home before going into the graduation and it still didn’t work.

Oh I’m sorry I misunderstood the question. Yes it was the household members not people that were enrolled
- crinrict4 years agoHero+@_awkwardlezbean Do you maybe have a backup from before the graduation so you could try if you get the same error ?

When you graduate and go to the graduation ceremony, the only thing you get then is the graduation photo when the ceremony ends. The diploma shows up in the sims inventory later, at around 6 PM on graduation day. You don't get them at the same time. So, did you play the game through until the evening or stop playing before 6PM?
There are times when I have not gotten the graduation photo, but I have gotten the diploma every time. The diploma has also shown up when I didn't send sims to graduation as well but you don't get the photo unless you attend graduation.
Hope this helps.

I don’t 😭 I saved before I left and then stupidly saved again when it was about to start.
someone below said that they always got the photo first and the degree later so I’m hoping if I play longer it’ll show up

Hmm I can’t remember what time I stopped at so I’ll give it till the next day and see if it’s there then. Oddly enough I went and got the mail and he had his acceptance letter to university as well as the results of the scholarship applications which is weird because I’ve checked the mail since applying for those things and never got them until I already finished. So I hope that doesn’t mean there’s some kind of glitch
- crinrict4 years agoHero+@_awkwardlezbean Is your Sim living at home or at a uni dorm ? Usually the whole thing is over after they move back home which can be some time after the graduation itself.
Judging from your picture, it's not only the diploma itself, the whole process isn't finished yet it seems. - CGrant564 years agoHero+
If you saved before the ceremony started, that shouldn't matter. I've done that before and it didn't make a difference as to whether my sims got their diploma or not. It does matter on the photos. Diplomas always come later around 6 PM as I said before. Not connected to the ceremony. You get them regardless of whether you go to the ceremony or not. I have found that if I send more than 2 sims to a ceremony, most times, one of them won't go in to the ceremony and won't get the photo. Saving after the sims arrive outside the venue and before the ceremony actually starts is a good place to save so if a sim in your party doesn't get the photo, you can reload and try again. Sometimes it has taken several reloads to get photos for all the sims if you send 3 or 4 at the same time. I have never been able to get photos for more than 4 though. And that took several reloads even then. So now I set my sims up so no more than 2 graduate at the same time. I like to play 8 sim households in University. So I set them up so I have 2 freshmen, 2 sophomores, 2 juniors and 2 seniors in those households so all of them can get the photos.
If you haven't got the diploma by midnight of the day of the graduation ceremony, then in all likelihood, there is something else wrong. I have gotten multiple acceptance letters before and that hasn't had any effect in my game other than having 2 (or more, I got 3 once) of them in the sim's inventory. Those are things you don't need any more once you've been accepted and started a term and can be deleted if you want to with no risk. It is odd that you got them after finishing all the classes though but not something I would think indicative of a glitch or bug.
Hope this helps.

Nope my sim lived at home. The degree came at 6pm like the other person commenting said. Guess it just is set up to come later in the day. Thank you for your help!
