I guess I am not following you then.  Are you saying that when you have a sim knit, that you can't knit ANY of the sweaters i.e, the selection panel is not there or greyed out or something??  

What I see in the 2nd pic is that you have already knitted them all and the household can wear them since you can select them in CAS.  The one that you can't select hasn't been knitted yet is the messed up one.  You can't select that one from the knitting selection panel in live mode.  You only get that one sweater when a sim messes up their knitting of that sweater type.  The rest should show as unlocked in live mode.  So, you need to keep knitting one of those sweaters until a sim messes one up.  You can choose any of them to knit again.  It doesn't matter which one you choose and you should be able to knit the ones already unlocked as many times as you want to.  Can't you do that?

In the 1st pic, I see that you have the use ingredients box checked so that it will use the llama wool you have in your inventory when you knit. Could that be what is stopping you from knitting a sweater again?  If it is, then uncheck the box and you should be able to.  If I recall correctly, you can still knit things even with that box checked and you don't have the ingredients.  It just costs a little more. I will check that when I go back to my game later today just to be sure.

Maybe a long time ago I was able to knit them and that is why is shows them unlocked. I have started brand new saves and maxed the knitting skill to level 10. I still do not get the option to knit that sweater. That specific does not show up at all. Sorry for the confusion, it’s hard to explain.

I think maybe that I'm not being clear enough for you to understand what I'm trying to say but I don't know a better way to try to explain what is going on with this sweater.  Here is what that sweater swatch looks like for the swatch you haven't unlocked.


You cannot choose to knit this one in the selection panel.  The only way (other than using the CAS unlock cheat) to get it unlocked is to have a sim fail or mess up while knitting.  So, to get it unlocked through gameplay, you just have to be patient and keep a sim knitting that sweater type until one messes up and shows up in the sim's inventory.  Then it is unlocked in CAS.  

Almost all of the knitting projects have a failed knitted item that you only ever see when a sim fails or messes up their knitting.  I've seen most of them. All the clothing types, rugs, decorative item, plant hangers and toys have failed knitting projects that I have seen in my game.  The only category of a knitting fail I haven't seen is for the animal clothing added by Cottage Living. It's probably there but I don't knit those items very often so haven't seen it yet.   You can't choose to knit any of the failed projects.  They don't show up in the selection panels for any item. They just happen as your sims knit.

Yes I know this. I have unlocked it will all the other knitting clothes. My problem is I can’t knit the sweater at all, not ANY swatch.

Ok, so maybe I have been misunderstanding what your problem is.  What I thought you were saying is that you couldn't knit that one swatch.  So, let us start over. 

First, what system are you running on?  

If you are running on a PC or Mac, are you using any mods?  And if you are, do any of your mods affect knitting?

You said it happens across saves.  Have you tried a game repair?

What happens when you try to select one of those sweaters to knit?  From your pic, it appears that you are getting the panel and the items appear to be unlocked although the pic doesn't show the right side of the panel where the lock is.  And your pic shows female and male sweaters so what happens when you try to select one?  Does the action disappear from the sim's queue and the sim doesn't knit or what?

I'm having the same issue. I'm on PC - I already took out my mods folder but it didn't fix the problem. 

This specific sweater is the mens sweater but on the female sim, I have the swatch unlocked on male sims but not female sims. I tried getting another forsaken sweater but couldn't add it to the wardrobe at all, bo matter if female or Male! 

All other NK clothes work fine with all swatches on both sim bodies, but not this one
