Re: Baby objects not working

I think you have newborns and infants confused. Newborns are objects in game and limited to being in bassinet and some interactions your sim can do from bassinet. Infants are from the update earlier this year and are actual sims. The crib, changing table, playmate, etc. will work once the newborn ages up to infant. You can either wait or there will be an option when you click the bassinet to age up. I believe it is under the newborn care menu or whatever it is called that includes feeding and changing from bassinet.

@fa3133a14a102952I thought with the update, you could do more with newborns. Was that not the purpose of the update when they added those new objects, to be able to do more with newborns.

Update : So I tried and you were right, they were new objects for infants. Thanks for the reply. This link can be closed now since it is resolved.

  • No worries, glad you figured it out! The update was that they added a new life stage called infants. What was the old babies became newborns. So old babies/now newborns are objects that are tied to their bassinets with limited interactions. Now the new infant life stage (between babies/newborns and toddlers) are actual controllable sims that have a lot more options. Have fun playing with infants and sounds like you might have Growing Together, so unlocking the milestones will be fun!
