Re: Fear not showing up in Traits

I'll give it a shot, I can say that she randomly gained it as a trait and I used the potion to remove it...but the fear still pops up at all hours of the day. I'll try cheat adding and removing to see if it helps though

okay used the cheat to give her the fear of the dark, then used the reward item to remove it...did not work she still has random bouts of fear of the dark even though its no longer one of her traits...

ohh no that was the first time it had ever been one of her traits, and that was after I had posted the problem. If she had had it before and I removed it that would have been a different thing  I think..but now I can saftly say that that is the problem now...just wasn't originaly

She should be named Ana De La Torre, but I changed it to toramonger in the save so its toramonger saved by toramonger...she the albino sim in my gallery lol as she's the only one of those she should be easy to find, white hair, white skin, and red eyes ^^

Did you maybe upload it to your library instead of the gallery ?

yeah I totaly did that lol uploaded her to the gallarey under her name since everythign else is apparently my user name O^O (Ana De La Torre) thats my bad

I don't know why your Sim had issues without having the trait in the first place but she def has a commodity (these are kind of hidden timers) about it. When the timer runs out, she gets the fear.

The potion seems to be still bugged. It only gets rid of the trait and nothing else so what you need to do is actually resolve the fear,

Do the following steps

1. Re-add the trait with the cheat as before
2. Wait until you get the fear resolve want.
3. Buy a confidence potion
4. Go outside in the dark and drink it.
5. The fear should resolve for good.

She does get another commodity this way that lasts a while and I've not played until that runs but the fear of the dark commodity is also gone so I'm confident it should resolve your issue.

Please report back. You will probably need to play for a while to be sure.

I also had the invisible fear, but of swimming, my Sim was born in game and actually loves swimming, he met a dolphin in the sea when he was younger, so didn't make sense, he kept getting the buff of being afraid but no trait showing, so I equipped as you said to above and then had him use a confident potion to swim for an hour, and now he's all good, says he conquered his fear! :D He kept getting the buff seeing the neighbour's pool out the window so it was really annoying lol!
