No I do not use mods. I prefer the game as it is.

I tried that, didn't work unfortunately 

@MissLStarr If you start a new save, does it work for you?

I'm pretty sure I've tried every possible solution. I have never posted/reported anything because I know most times it's just a matter of repairing the game or installing new drivers. 

But right now, the game is unplayable for me which is just a shame since this was the first pack in a long while I was super excited about. 

I've been playing sims since The Sims first came out, and I have never encountered such a bug that made the game unplayable

@MissLStarr I'm going to list a few things to try just to make sure you've covered them:

• Clean folder: Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options. Test in a new save before copying old files (not folders) back into the new one.
• Game Repair: do this combined with a clean folder
• Loading an earlier version of your save
• Uninstall and reinstall combined with a clean folder
