To answer your questions: 

1. I have deleted ozzy & miriam's retro sewing machine and simmerkate's futuristic gaming setup. The game wouldn't load at all with those for some reason. Now I find it's about 50/50 as some households will load while others will not or will even give an exception. 

3. I don't have a scan report since BE gets stuck in the process. I have left it several times to scan for over an hour. I have also halved my mods and scanned those to make it easier, but it still gets stuck. 

4. I have over 300 mods and frankly can't write down all of those so I tried sending screenshots instead, but I can't attach more than 3 files at a time unfortunately. I know that seems excessive but I always read the creator's notes and check for conflicts (I still make mistakes) I have a fairly good gaming laptop and I've been playing with these mods for years with no issues.

I have backed up my saves. This happened after the mandatory June update, unfortunately. I have just spent ages updating all my mods so everything should be up and working 'in theory.' I've spent all day testing to see if households load with/without either mod/cc files because it could be a corrupt save file I guess. That's all I can think of. 

Well also to add: 

I have tested without mods or CC and get a loading error. I guess the save itself has become corrupt. I feel devastated. I have an older backup so we'll see how that goes. I'll still lose a lot of work ☹️

@LolaLikesC4 Sorry to hear that. For the list of mods, there are instructions in How to Use Mods and CC on a couple of simple steps that create a text file to attach to a reply. It works with much larger mods folders than yours!

should I remove any of the 'adult' mods because it's against the rules?

but also how will this change anything if the file seems to be corrupt even without mods or cc?

@LolaLikesC4 You can keep them. Just don't name them here.

It might not, now that your save won't load without mods and CC. But it might turn up whatever issue was letting your game load with separate batches of files but not all of them. If you have been using Better Exceptions or MC Command Center and have an exception file from one of those, that might also be helpful.

Have you tried loading an earlier version of your save, either with all your mods or with none? Does the game let you start a new save with all the mods/CC?

I'm going to test an older save I have tomorrow, I haven't gotten around to it during the weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Unfortunately, BE though it initiates a scan, never completes it (I've left it scanning for up to an hour at least a handful of times.) That would have been very helpful.

Interesting, I already did that but I'll try it again. I used a wordpad file. I attached it again, let me know if there's any issues this time. 

@LolaLikesC4 Don't copy over the info. The instructions will create a file. Use the paperclip in Reply to attach that file.

@luthienrisingit says unsupported file and I'm unable to upload it, that's why I thought the wordpad file would work because it's the only thing that doesn't give me the error message.
