- Zinn19882 years agoRising Novice@crinrict I wish! Lol, she even made a new family real quick and it still did it. I've never had the issue on my game. We have Uninstaller and reinstalled now. So, we'll see. Lol
- Zinn19882 years agoRising Novice@Zinn1988 And no, not as a detective.
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@Zinn1988 Is she using mods/cc ?
- Zinn19882 years agoRising Novice@crinrict Yes, both.
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@Zinn1988 Could be a mod issue then
Move the mods folder to the desktop, delete the localthumbcache file and backup the saves folder.
Then test on a backup of the save game if the error still occurs. - Zinn19882 years agoRising Novice@crinrict I've deleted that file, along with the last exception one and the others that I've seen to delete. So.. idk.

If anyone can help us out with this it, it would be great! She feels very defeated as to it doesn't matter what she does it gives us this error code..
@Zinn1988 For testing without mods, the whole Mods folder needs to be dragged to the desktop out of its folder (or deleted, but most people want to keep the mods available so they can test them or see what to update). Then also delete localthumbcache. There's a list at Broken/Updated Mods for updates as well, of recent ones. If she was using any cookbook mods, those should be updated first to see if the update lets her into the house. She can check at creators' sites for those updates.

Thank you! We chose to delete the mods and things for now and try the base game.. well have to add the mods/cc content slowly.. hopefully we'll see if that works.. it won't hurt her to back to base game for awhile! Lol
@Zinn1988 I never last long like that before too many Sims are doing push-ups :D

🤣 it didn't take her long before she started downloading them again! Lol, but it did work. So it was one of her mods or CCs.
Hey there, I've been having this problem for awhile now. I can play sim household pertaining one individual but can't when it comes to 2 or more, the game always pops up an error code. Ive tried deleting both caches, repaired, and even uninstalled. Please help, thank you.
@Ctrlbttn Please do a "vanilla" test: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
I ran the game and i can access them now! 🙂 Does this mean theres something within my mod folder thats causing it? Or should i go ahead and put it back in game
