Mouse & keyboard do not deserve to be aim assisted while they try to play by their own means. Respawn developers want everyone to play together, but that's simply not fair when aim assist is involved. Many online games don't offer aim assist for controller users while playing with mouse & keyboard players.There is no justification for aim assist to lock onto mouse & keyboard players, just none. You choose your input device, live with it. No one should be winning anything because of always running software.This isn't a mobile and/ or handheld platform we are talking about, but the personal computer.Controllers users should either have their own lobbies or mouse & keyboard players should have the choice to choose whom they play against. Again, there is nothing a controller player can say to me to justify the use of aim assistance versus a mouse & keyboard player.I know first hand how easy it is to play with a controller, and I also know how hard it is to play with a mouse & keyboard. Something in Apex Legends needs to change, immediately.

@Sand_spitter Cross-play on consoles is strictly between other consoles if I'm correct. Consoles can connect to PC lobbies, but only if invited and/ or using that glitch that was about some time ago if I'm mistaken.Basically, if you queue up solo on console you wouldn't ever be in PC lobbies. You have to be invited by a PC player to play in PC lobbies.

@ndcu679 I might have confused you about my controller setup.I used the advanced controller menu while using the controller in Apex Legends. Sensitivity is 500, ADS sensitivity 255 and all aim acceleration was disabled (0), curve is set to linear (0) with inner deadzone around 7-8%, outer deadzone set to 1.basically a copy of the streamer, "Extesyy".https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEYTwYT2KjYThe potentiometer in my Razer Wolverine Ultimate is just done, and that's why the dead zone needs to be set to 7-8%. Understand, this isn't a Microsoft and/ or Sony controller, it uses different potentiometers compared to other brands. The analog stick still moves even while at a 7-8% dead zone.I also don't think anything is wrong with my controller settings as I was hitting high damage 2-3k damages quite regularly (really depends on the match though). I also didn't move from mouse & keyboard to controller, but the other way around. I've been using controllers long before ever using the mouse & keyboard for gaming.I moved from controller to mouse & keyboard because I felt I was the issue in PC lobbies. New mouse & keyboard users don't get that much damage, and I felt I was causing them to quit playing the game, so I switched input devices.At this time, I'm sticking with my mouse & keyboard, but I think I totally understand your point of view with CQC and controllers. As a player who used to play controller and hit leaderboards on games like Overwatch ono xbox, then moved to MnK and managed to hit it again on pc, at least I have the experience to critique and complain about this topic. Most people who complain about this topic have never even tried to play the other input, and even if they have, they haven't played it long enough to truly say anything about the matter.One, controller is using joystick. It needs aim assist in fine cursor aiming, especially if it is a faster pace game like Apex Legends. Aiming on controller, is much much harder than aiming with mouse if there is no aim assist. However, there is a lower entry cap for controller players, as their aim will be usually be better than new mouse players. And then again, MnK features a higher skill ceiling that makes it better than controller once a person's aim gets good enough. Playing on controller also forcers players to play on a lower sensitivity, versus playing on mouse which a majority of players have their sensitivity set higher than it should be. Especially considering that the lower it is, the easier it is to aim. This gives controller players an innate advantage in direct 1v1 confrontations of when both players know exactly where the other is.For literally years you pc players have been complaining about controller players forever, while controller players have been complaining about MnK players for just as long. In most cases, people simply just do not want to admit people are better than them, and want to have an excuse to rely on.It is a different issue however if the aim assist is too strong. Aim assist in close range is OP and a lot of pro players think so too. Always when I spec someone if I get oneclipped hard its a controller, rearly a MnK. @JayKaiya Just a reminder Overwatch disables aim assist if you join QP PC lobbies + Overwatch leaderboards is not really a achievement anymore as Diamond is leaderboard now unlike me who was top 500 when the game was alive and well back around season 5Like u console players say MNK is superior yet at the same time attack people wanting MNK servers only(console does have this option).. Its odd to say MNK is stronger and then be against MNK only servers (Console does have this input option),When will u people learn its about competative intergrity? Like u can make Apex non compatitive crossplay, but make competative crossplay optional as even Overwatch wont combine inputs in their competative mode for this reason.And besides if you join a PC lobby and u get killed spectate them for a second and u will find even on PC most players are now controller (they wont move when they loot you) and I am tired of PC gaming space being invaded by controllers that to function needs stuff like AA just to function while they do have a standard input.If you say people should play what they want then give me 80% AA so I can play apex on my steering wheel.

@Popa2capsIts funny you say its so easy on controller I guess you are also one to say it takes so much skill to master keyboard gaming while controller is a couch device with an aimbot.

Well here is my experience: I have spent over 10 000 hours playing Fps games on controller and can't still do like the pros and follow a moving target in a close range fight and need to physically aim at every target or else not a single bullet hits.

Then I tried the mouse on Apex last days with my 10$ non gaming mouse, after 4 hours of mnk I was no scoping downing a player with an automatic gun in a fair fight.
This I could never master after 10 000 hours of controller I did instinctively after 4 hours of mouse play... wow just wow and you guys are gonna keep complaining about controllers forever??? While you have the superior device that's a laser sensor with high sensitivity sliding on the whole table?

Also I could instantly move left right and dodge bullets like I never could after 10 000 hours of controller play... just moving left than right while running on the mouse dodges bullets but on the controller the time it takes to get the stick back towards moving the other direction is long enough you are like a sitting duck and get hit. Ridiculous how on mouse all your movement are faster than real life you could never do that in real life it's like your whole body changes direction at the same time you move your head no need to move your legs make a stop and move the other direction. Wow oh wow

@Palette24caratsI am also practicing mouse gaming with my 10$ non gaming mouse today and just found out another unnatural overpowered thing you can do on the mouse; you can INSTANTLY do a 180 degree turn while running and be instantly running the other way.... wow oh wow !!!

Same thing for a 90 degree turn or a 270 degree turn wow oh wow you can dodge bullet like you are a human drone or something and these guys complain about aim assist? 10 000 hours on my 60$ controllers didnt gave me as much accuracy as a 4 hour practice on my 10$ non gaming mouse.
Been shopping a gaming mouse and you can have 6500 dpi mouse with 11 buttons on it.

Also, so you have 10,000 hours ( 416.6667 days) of experience on the controller? Doesn't seem like a lot.

I wouldn't fall victim to the DPI marketing material that goes around. Dots per inch is mostly used to upsell mice to people that don't know what it is. They automatically assume higher numbers equals better.

I do encourage everyone to try the mouse & keyboard or whatever input device they enjoy, I'm not biased at all. There are tons of titles that don't offer aim assist for controller users while in the same lobbies as mouse & keyboard players, but you don't hear them complaining.

You hear so much backlash about aim assist in Apex Legends because so many controller users got hooked to the title, and don't want aim assist to be changed not because of mouse & keyboard at all, but because it would directly affect their gameplay.

The only constant issue I hear online while playing from controller users is their analog sticks automatically moving. I mostly never hear any of them talk about looting issues as most don't have open mic enabled, so they just run away if they can't loot lol

Use whatever device you enjoy, but I still think Apex Legends PC should offer mouse & keyboard players a place to play without interference from users that have a different input, and/ or always running software to guide their aim.

It's not like mouse & keyboard invaded the console space to make controllers adapted to their presence, it was the other way around. Controllers came into the PC ecosystem.

@Popa2caps I would like PC only lobbies as well, but not because of aim assist, but because there's a bunch of controller players running things like strikepacks and xim.

Aim assist by itself isn't all that great or a super power. Besides, even if you get PC only lobbies, players on PC can still use a controller.

@Popa2caps LOL the aim assist in this game is so weak compared to other games man its basically unnoticeable half the time. if you wanna see what insane aim assist is go to Call of Duty. the aim assist in this game is perfect for controller players to equal amount of practice time to get used to it as a Keyboard and mouse players. the only problem with controller players on APEX is people that use a Cronus or Strikepack

Controller and mouse should never be put up against one another. Of course people would fight and not agree. That's common sense.

Cross play should just be disabled, permanently. Then everyone wins. Mostly everyone anyway, but who cares? lol

Also, remember, for a console player to join your lobby requires a PC player to invite him. So the whole thing is entirely about PC players crying about a problem they themselves create. Think about that for a moment. Stop inviting your console friends - problem solved.

I currently only play Apex Legends. I also will not compare different titles with one another, there is no logic in it. COD and/ or Halo have long been a heavy aim assisted shooter. It's why most pro shows just look silly.

My discussion is about the "option" to play on mouse & keyboard only servers, and not directly about cross-play. That is if mouse & keyboard players choose to use it, still, it should be up to them being the PC ecosystem.

Also, it seems you might be misinformed about cross-play that features gameplay with PC and consoles together. There are games for both consoles and/ or PC players that don't offer aim assistance for the controller users.

1) Tom Clancy's Siege doesn't have any aim assistance while playing versus real players for both PC and consoles.

2) Player Unknown Battlegrounds doesn't have aim assist at all on consoles and/ or PC.

3) Overwatch disables aim assist for all controller users while in PC lobbies.

4) Valorant doesn't support controllers and/ or cross-play, but there are some high level players that play with controllers at high levels.

This debate about aim assist isn't actually about aim assist in my opinion.

I honestly think most controller players who say aim assist is fine have
A) Never used mouse & keyboard themselves
B) Make the argument that aim assist isn't that powerful because they purcahsed a expserive controller, and don't want that purchase to become useless.
C) Never have played in PC lobbies.

I've witnessed more people directly make false facts about this, just to meet their own narrative, why? This debate about aim assistance isn't the same as two direct arguments like someone saying, "Red Sucks, then someone else saying, 'Blue Sucks".

This is asking if mouse & keyboard players should get the option to play in mouse & keyboard only servers. I don't think most controller users understand what that means.

My discussion is totally about giving gamers a choice.
