I personally think it would be an awesome feature if you guys added the option to LITERALLY carry a DOWNED teammate. As to remove them from gunfire and get them back into the safety of one's choosing...

personally happy that enemies doesnt kick me even on ground :D Love feel of killing downed player that have no way to kill you :D But that carrying seems cool, but as mentioned upper that banner taking can be somehow taken as carrying action for teamate 🙂 it will be probably too complicated to pick what to do if do shooting or carrying, I have trouble to pick reviving/shooting not a third option :D :D
It should definitely only be up to the carrier. The only problem I think that can come from this is that so many unfortunate sqeaker souls will be thrown off the map.

10 secs later
Downed: 'You're going the wrong way'
Carrier *silence*
Edge of map is in sight
Carrier *walks towards the ledge*
Downed: 'Don't do it, don't...do...it!'
Carrier *throws sad soul off of the map, turns his mic on, laughs meniacally and leaves the match*
