Yeah its kinda stupid. Hehe I recently fought a 3v1 fight, managed to down 2 of them and ran for a white shield on the floor, but when I pressed E to pick it up, one of the downed guys had crawled close enough to it so my legend started the execution and the third guy killed me =)
Also, on the same note, its also kinda stupid that your melee "snaps" to closed doors for the kick-in-door-animation when you fight close to them. Was chasing an enemy in the beginning of the game. I had hit him 3 times so he was one hit from dying. He opened a door and ran through it, and I was just going to land the last killing melee but since the game is so unsynced, MY client though the open door was still closed and I started the kick-in-door animation mid air in the doorway.
