A method to effectively reduce the occurrence of cheats in ranked matches.

Hi, EA,

Since the beginning of APEX, there has been a frequent problem with cheats. Therefore, I've come up with a method to effectively reduce the occurrence of cheats in competitive matches. If you only open competitive matches to players who have purchased a Battle Pass, wouldn't this increase the cost for cheaters and smurf accounts, indirectly reducing their occurrence rate and also encouraging players to buy Battle Passes?

  • @yejlin i dont think taht will work ...
Free cheats come with viruses most of the time and the risk of getting banned is highly likely, so cheaters are already spending money on the game for those cheats. thats why Respawn/EA doesnt give a damn :
1st -> they kinda have builtin cheats with the aimassist
2nd -> Cheaters that spen money on ESP/Aimbots/ect are mostlikely also buying the Ingame-Bling, hence banning them would hurt the Revenue !
  • @yejlin and sadly creating new accounts to do a "rookie to pred" grind isn't considered smurphing, but it is when you use that new account to curb stomp lower lobbies to farm kills and damage.

Guess what happens when a pred level player is playing on a new account? They get a bunch of kills and damage as they move through the ranks, oftentimes very slowly. They're basically farming lower lobbies in a "legit way".

Most of the smurphs I see are diamonds and masters who just sit in the silver rankings until the end of the split or season where they quickly grind out of it, only to do it again next season. Why? To boost their low ranking friends! That's why.
  • @yejlin A proper cheat costs in the 100s and upward into thousands when it comes to private stuff.
A battle pass is peanuts and does not really matter much
