Regarding Recovery of Lost Apex Legends Account

Hello,

I can no longer access my original Apex Legends account on Nintendo Switch. My previous email address is no longer usable.

I changed the email address for my EA account to a new one, but when I log in, it shows a new Level 1 account instead of my original account.

Details:

Last played: Over a year ago

Evidence: Screenshot of original account on Nintendo Switch

Please assist me in recovering my original account.

Thank you in advance!

takemohu If you are needing to update the email address on your EA Account, you would need to log into your EA Account or contact EA Support.

If you are needing to update the email address on your Switch Account, you would need to log into your Nintendo Account or contact Nintendo Support.

Since you mentioned that you had already updated the email address for your EA Account; Is it the same EA Account that your Nintendo Account was linked to, (and are your accounts still linked)?

I'm asking this because your Apex progress and data is stored on the EA Account, so if it is the same EA Account the Switch is linked to, then your Switch Account should still have access to your Apex progress and data, (provided it was never unlinked, as unlinking your platform account(s) does come with the risk of losing access to some, (or all), your Apex progress and data, (which may not be restored even when relinked)).

Below is more information about unlinking:

Lastly, depending on how long ago you last played, your Apex progress and data may not had been merged as when Cross Progression was being rolled out, (to my knowledge), it excluded inactive accounts.

Note: Cross Progression was rolled out to players between October of 2023 to around April of 2024.

I accidentally deleted my Nintendo account, and since then I have been unable to play Apex Legends. It was linked to my EA account, so when I tried to log in to Apex Legends with my new Nintendo account, this is the situation.

takemohu Each EA Account only allows for one platform account of each type to be connected to it.

What this means is that your first Nintendo Account has a lifetime link to your EA Account, so it won't be possible to use another Nintendo Account with your EA Account.

I changed the email address of my EA account and unlinked the Nintendo Switch from the linked account. When I logged into the new Nintendo account, this is the state I was in.
