Abandon Penalty - Radical and Unfair

I have the same problem. i had 2 teammates in my squad, who both died at the beginning of the match and were being really toxic and swearing to me with every word you can invent. I still respawned both of them 2 times and then i was dead, they were doing nothing. So i left and got a 90 minute penalty? Wtf is wrong with ea

exactly my point - unfair and radical! They better change this before the damage is too big!

Just got my first one after leaving game with unfilled squad. Thankfully only for 5 minutes but I can see how this has the potential to ruin the game with harsher penalties

Now my penalty times aren't usually that bad and I think it's a good idea over all.

What I think is in fair about it is I start my game today and hit ready up. No big deal till i realized it's in ranked so I quickly quit my search and change it too casual. Problem solved right. Start my queue get put in a match last second so hurry my legend pick. We start playing teammates are running off to where ever they want what do u expect it's casual. So I get downed with one of my other mate outside of storm from a fight and other teammate is forever away so I'm like ok quit start a new one don't want to be sitting here waiting to see if I get respawned.

I quit only to find out it was a ranked match not only do I lose ungodly amouts of ranked points but also get a 10min abandoned penalty. So it's like I was double punished for apex putting me into a ranked match. Now if my last teammates wasn't forever away from me probably wouldn't be posting this bc I would have waited for death or respawn.

Long story short if it put me in casual like I asked it to then I wouldn't have this problem. And abandoned penalty should take other factors like this into reflection.

IF THE DEV'S GET ANYTHING OUT OF THIS PLEASE CORRECT THE GAME PLACEMENT. I definitely don't like being put in a game style I didn't want to be in.

Correction: this system turns rage quitters away from the their game, but might instead keep some other players that would have left due to all rage quitters.

Not that I care too much because I would never play ranked with randoms, but this whole debate really amuses me.  Before, everyone kept spamming this forum about all rage quitters and how they should be punished and now, all those rager quitters spam this forum how unfair the punishment is hahah
