About Caustic and degenerate behavior. (Changes gone wrong)

While i appreciate that you tried to listen to the feedback regarding Caustic, i feel like many of the changes went wrong. I believe the change that removed the movement penalty of teammates was a huge failure. I'm not sure why but many players see my green gas as a green light to act stupid. Nowadays every time i use the gas to cover myself for a heal, there is always atleast one crackhead that will now push through relentlessly and gets himself killed.

Its only a buff in niche circumstances and encouraged many Caustics to have little regard for their teams and many players to use them as a rallying cry for their suicide attempt. I honestly think it should be reverted.

And the most recent change that allows enemies to deal with an aggressive Caustic quite easily is just bad, it encourages Caustics to camp buildings and punishes more creative uses of his kit, making gameplay involving Caustics nowadays very degenerate. Caustic was quite good in offense with an aggressive playstyle once mastered, the tactics being much less straightforward than other characters. 

More insult to injury is that the change effectively removed Caustics ability to deal with campers. Caustic could be used as both a breacher and siege engine, countering Wattson and Caustic fortresses by forcing openings or retreat from their own set-ups.

This means camping is much better now as a solution to it was removed from the game along with a more interesting take on a character.

Revert both changes and give Caustic the ability to detonate his traps remotely within LoS without needing to shoot them, then he'd be great.

  • @BigBlackCaustic Maybe you are playing at a lower league because I personally never experienced that. Also he can still be played aggressively to counter campers the change only gives enemies a chance to disable the gas but if they were a little bit late to shoot it's base then they are screwed. It's also not that easy to focus your aim on the base of the traps before them being activated while in a middle of a fight.
