Abusing hard or unreachable places

The ability to grapple up to higher points is one of Pathfinder's abilities. He is a scout Legend. Under these situations it might be best to avoid engaging unless you have a sniper rifle to counter. Unless it's the final ring, Pathfinder will have to eventually move so you can always try engaging this enemy player again when you're in a better spot.

Even if Pathfinder is healing up from the elevated spot that does burn away shields and health kits from their inventory (unless a Lifeline is up there with a heal bot), so at some point they will run out of ammo or ways to heal up. You're also drawing attention to them with all the gunshots, which can attract other squads to eventually flank or wait for Pathfinder at the bottom. 

If it's down to the final couple rings you'll need to consider all these factors:

1. There is a Pathfinder still alive in the game
2. The Pathfinder has a sniper rifle
3. The final couple rings have elevated positions out of all the possible outcomes of where they can land late in the game
4. Your team does not have a Pathfinder to help get up there
5. Your team did not get to the final ring destination faster than they did. (Although, this can be entirely subjective to a squad's strategy)

How often do you feel this situation comes up? #3 on that list above is the biggest factors that will lead to this. We'll keep an eye on player feedback if this develops into a late game balance issue, but from personal experience it seems like a rare outcome out of all the amount of games I've played.

Its exactly my point that with a pathfinder you can camp places your not supposed to camp.

A timer gets activated because people are not supposed to be there, I can hardly imagine the developers wanting people to keep resetting the timer somehow to count as advanced and good game play.

My squad being forced to retreat because people are abusing it somehow doesn't seem right to me.

And agroing another team with the gunshots sounds like a bad plan here.

Because they are safe up there and i will most likely get to fight the 3rd party while those abusers are sniping up there.

I doubt you are talking about teaming vs the abusers somehow.

This was rare to me but they seem to be up there enjoying themselves up those places a lot more since the new longbow buffs.

Dropping a caustic trap is another way of ensuring no one gets up there.

And you don't have to consider if there is a pathfinder alive.

its the most broken legends out there at the moment and i think its hard to find a squad that does not have one in it.

But there are a lot of topics going on about that one out there.

So ill leave that alone.

Maybe its on purpose.

But as i sayd before:

A big + in this game was that camping wasn't a thing.

it was the only BR game where camping just din't work most of the time.

But its getting a thing more and more and it pains me to see its getting rewarded.

Be the Pathfinder then. I use(d) him the most, but stopped because sniper rifles were basically S H I T. Now they are nerfed and much better. The problem I encounter is that newbies insist on being Pathfinder, but they are totally unable to use his skills. God knows how many times I've pinged high places to get our m o r o n Pathfinder to throw a line, but no...… The * will rather run around and test shoot new guns.

I'm tired of this game now. Stopped playing. Typical for commerce devs, make a game that is a mockup of other similar games like Fortnite, etc, release it before it is properly bug-fixed, and don't give a * when users start complaining about things not working. That's pretty much where we are now. They made a good game and they threw it down the drain. 

Now, if there is an email service I can register to, that will tell me if/when the game is fixed, I'd like to know. Because as of now = not worth playing.

Your absolutely right.

you can reach them all with the balloon.

and im also 100% sure you never used iT to counter a team on one of Those places with it.

because using a balloon when landing takes you About 1 second to get your wep. And then because of a bug you always have to do a reload animation with both your guns before you can shoot after using a balloon.

imagine not beïng able to shoot for 2 seconds point blanc vs a Squad that had a semi decent shot.

i rather take my chances with the zipline up there   At least i can shoot while going in a sure death.

and its not About being reachable.

its About being abused....
