To the apex legends development team you guys should seriously consider adding an account merging feature to enhance the player experience and address a long-standing request from the community. Many players have accounts across different platforms due to the game’s early lack of cross-progression, and they often find themselves torn between their progress, cosmetics, and stats on each one. Account merging would allow players to consolidate their unlocks, achievements, and purchases into a single profile, fostering loyalty and streamlining the transition between platforms. Please make this happen.
Are you referring to merging 2 different EA Accounts?
If so, that would certainly be nice, but it would bring with a lot of issues as a whole.
There are many games associated with EA Accounts, all of which have to be accounted for with nearly no data loss when merging accounts. For Apex this was already a problem when rolling out Cross Progression, a certain amount of data was lost, the question will be how this will affect other games and how those will be compatible.
And what if someone has their account hacked, and the ones who hacked it, decides to merge it with another account? Usually such actions would be non-reversible, so it could mess up accounts a lot if they were to do something like that.
Of course those are more technical aspects, that's up to them to look into. I'm certainly with you though, it would be nice to have it, but with all those kind of issues, I think it's not something they're likely to spend time looking into anytime soon.
dxnnyko In October of 2023, Cross-Progression was rolled out to Apex players and had concluded around March 2024, (where the last of the player base had their accounts merged).
As a result, accounts across PC, (through the EA App and through Steam), Xbox, PlayStation, and the Switch were all merged into one as long as they were connected to the same EA Account, (if you have a platform account that is linked to another EA Account, its Apex progress and data cannot be merged or transferred to your main EA Account as mentioned by XHelperZ).
and they often find themselves torn between their progress, cosmetics, and stats on each one
When Cross-Progression was added, it had merged all cosmetics, Apex Packs, and currency, (with the exception that any platform exclusive cosmetic, (such as the Pathfinder Switch skin), is only useable on the platform its exclusive to, while the Switch has its own currency wallet for Apex Coins and Exotic Shards, and any duplicate cosmetic was not refunded, (including duplicate Heirlooms)).
Stats are a different story, as only the stats from the highest level account, (which would be the account that became the "main" account), was kept. This means that if you had gotten any badges, kills, etc. on one platform that wasn't the main account, it sadly wasn't merged into the main account once Cross-Progression was rolled out to you.

For the part about consolidating our unlocks, that is a feature of Cross-Progression, (as mentioned above alongside the few exceptions).
As for the achievements, if you are talking about these achievements:
Those must be re-earned on each platform, (except for the Switch, as there is no achievement to be earned on that platform). However, if you are talking about the in-game badge version, (as mentioned above), only the badges from the highest level / main account was kept.
As part of Cross-Progression, players will also be able to switch to any of their platform accounts to play Apex at any time, (as long as the platform they are switching to is still linked to their EA Account), however they must keep in mind that any Apex Coins and Exotic Shards they earn or purchase will be locked to their PC/Xbox/PlayStation Accounts or to their Switch Account, (depending on which platform the currency was earned or purchased on).
Note: With that being said, its highly recommended to NOT unlink your platform accounts as that can cause a loss of your Apex progress and data, and to ensure you are playing on the desired platform account when earning and buying currency.
Lastly, if you had an account that was banned prior to Cross-Progression hitting your account, its progress and data was excluded from the Cross-Progression merge.
