Add Auto Strafe When Looting Setting

I’m not asking for some Apex Predator Skill Level Strafe, Anything at all would be better than nothing since controller players are at a major disadvantage because we are unable to strafe while looting...

This setting isn’t meant for only controller players though, players who are new to the game in general wether they are on mouse and keyboard or controller could also use this setting but like I said before manual strafing should be better than auto strafing to not eliminate the skill gap I just want anything at all vs absolutely no movement

Note: it is a setting, meaning you are not forced to have it enabled and you can continue doing your strafing manually like normal if you don’t need it or would prefer to have it disabled

  • @TheApexLegendNub I sure hope people know that strafing when looting does absolutely nothing but make them look like a bobble head. You know how many people i run up on inside a box just jiggling away while i look and laugh then blow their heads off?

Not sure why people think this is some kind of elite feature it offers nothing whats so ever. The player is literally moving 20 inches left to right if even that. It makes no one safe even at distance with strafe its crazy easy to take people out.

@E9ine_AC Yeah, but its so god damn annoying! Even watching my teammates bobbling around box aggravates me a LOT. They should remove it completely like on consoles
  • Lol... this was useful in pubg and carried over. Now others just mimic it. Pretty useless. Loot fast and move on.

  • Some player even do the strafing when they are inside a closed building.

Feels like the majority that does this now are just kids trying to mimic the "cool kids", but "knows not what it means, knows not what it means"...

  • @Ingeniekey  I agree in general. It's useful only if done in correct way. However even in closed building strafing will reduce slightly your reaction time and generally won't slow down your gameplay. In open field case, it's very unpredictable for enemies if you engange crouching to that. I think adding possibility of doing it manually is the best option.

  • @E9ine_AC I mainly just have an issue with it in open areas where you need to grab a quick shield swap or get some ammo/heals but keep getting sniped

@Srksii I am among those who strafe while looting. But I don't do it to evade bullets. I just use it as a way to tell my spectating enemy whom I just killed that, yes, I beat you on MnK, you cannot use your cOnTrOllEr aIm aSsist tOo OP card this time, sorry not sorry.

That's just me, probably. Anyone else? Actually no, let's pretend it's just me. I do not want to derail the thread. lol.

Strafing on death boxes can have it's benefits when enemies try to take you out from afar. I know some situations in which I would have likely died or at least scored a head shot if I would have stood still. I know in my beginning times when people took me out with snipers when I stood on death boxes.

Then again I am among one of the very few people who would prefer Strafing to be nerfed, so people actually have some natural movement instead of lack of inertia.
