Yeah, it's just unfair!
A controller sweater simply has tons of advantages over an MnK player.
But I also have to say that the Aim Assist is simply a part of the controller, I just tried to play on the controller myself and I just can't handle it, in my case the Aim Assist should be even stronger, so I understand the developers.
Soooo... the only sensible way for the gaming industry would be to completely separate MnK & controller players, at least offer a mode where all assistants & handicap systems are deactivated!

And yet with advanced controllers, and fast refresh monitors, why are we focusing on helping only controller new players, have you ever seen a new MNK player on 5.0 sense? It is the saddest thing you've ever seen.

Strikepacks are sold cheap at stores and EA/Respawn doesn't ban them nor seem to care about any other controller cheat. Of course players think that controllers are superior to M&K. For those of you going, "but this pro player I know doesn't use any controller cheats", that's because the pro player is using allowed in-game settings to fit their playstyle and unlike a lot of these "console beamers", they're ACTUALLY just GOOD at the game. From my understanding, they worry less about aiming and more about movement and outplaying their opponent.
You all keep pointing out that AA is OP because you keep dying to it, when the anti-recoil and other non-sense you're seeing is due to strikepacks, xim, cronus zen, etc. NOT the AA.
As I've said before AA is strong, sure, but its not going to allow someone to 1v1 or 1v3 actual good players. All the "beaming" you're seeing is a strikepack, all the looting while in a deathbox, PC like movement when running around, near perfect aim, etc., that's xim at work. Other things that looks like its only possible with scripts or mods, that would be the cronus zen at play.
Fortnite / Epic games made it bannable to use ANY of these kinds of mods, addons, and hardware, Apex / EA / Respawn needs to do the same if they're really wanting the game to be around for 20+ years like they've planned.
Since people want to keep arguing that AA is too OP without considering other factors, here's some definitions for you:
"Strike pack anti-recoil works by simply applying a varying amount of downward input on the analog stick."
"It's (xim) a USB adapter of sorts. It allows users to plug a keyboard and mouse combo into a playstation or xbox under the guise of a controller. Playing overwatch (and several other games) with a mouse and keyboard on console is restricted, but with a XIM, the game can't tell the difference."
"Cronus Zen is a breakthrough gaming device founded on the rich legacy of CronusMAX, which is universally recognized as the world's definitive controller emulation and scripting technology."
My opinion on the matter is as follows: AA needs some balancing tweaks, but nothing too major, while in PC lobbies, controller players should have reduced AA or no AA at all OR strikepacks, xim, cronus zen, etc. starts being bannable, and allowing players to opt out of cross-play, (although with how many players are leaving the game due to cheating, smurfing, no audio, awful servers, I'd hold off on allowing a cross-play toggle).
Edited: I just played a full match of TDM with a controller, without switching back to M&K, and I ended up with 6 kills, 3 assists, and 1025 damage. If I was using M&K, the stats would of been a lot better since it been a long while since I've used a controller, and I don't even play Apex with a controller to begin with.
In another thread, I've mentioned that the AA seemed to be snapping my aim to targets more, (evidence of that here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Feedback/S16-Aim-Assist/m-p/12546117#M104562), now while I was just playing TDM, it didn't feel like that. It felt like if the person was in front of me, I can mostly hit them, but if they move around, my accuracy was much lower, and trying to adjust my aim, especially while ASDing, wasn't easy.
While writing this post, I also played a Gun Run match, but I was back on M&K. I saw a Horizon on console who was mostly missing their Rampage shots. That gun is hard to hit to begin with, but with a low rate of fire, and the fact that I was barely trying to dodge since I was using a G7 Scout, they should of killed me a lot sooner, but it took them reloading the gun to even be able to damage me enough to kill me. They started with a full mag as well, and they were trying their best to move side to side to avoid my shots, (I'm not great with a G7 Scout, I rarely pick it up).
TDLR; Stop blaming the AA for the reason you're getting beamed. You're either standing so still that anyone can hit you, or you're running into players running one of the mentioned cheating methods.
I also try my best to gather evidence and make a case before arguing anything. In the past, I was in the same "AA is so broken" boat, but then started hearing people talk about strikepacks, xim, cronus zen, etc. I've looked into what those were, what those looked like, and watched console players do the things that were possible with those kinds of tools. Players are making AA sound like its the most OP thing ever, while it does need some balancing, its not that strong compared to what players can do with a strikepack, xim, cronus zen, etc.
The only thing I've read so far that I agreed with was what @Sirdodos said, which was: "If you willingly join our lobbies your aim assist should be lowered to .4 vs .6."
