Alter × A.K.I. Would Have Been a Much Better Fit Than Chun-Li

I’m honestly disappointed with the choice of Chun-Li for Alter in the Street Fighter collaboration.

Alter and A.K.I. feel like a much more natural match. Their personalities, aesthetics, and overall character themes fit together extremely well. A.K.I.’s unsettling, chaotic, and sinister personality would translate perfectly into Alter’s design, while still allowing the collaboration to feel unmistakably Street Fighter.

Chun-Li is an iconic character, but that doesn’t automatically make her the best fit for every Apex Legend. Alter’s personality and visual identity are much closer to what makes A.K.I. stand out.

I really hope Respawn considers this feedback, especially if there are future Street Fighter collaborations, alternate versions, recolors, or additional cosmetics planned.

Please consider Alter × A.K.I. for a future collaboration.

This isn’t about hating the Chun-Li skin. It’s about recognizing that there was an opportunity for a character pairing that could have been significantly more fitting and memorable for both Apex Legends and Street Fighter.
