Always running out of ammo

Certainly the big shields and small clips create more ammo pressure.

They also slow down the time-to-kill pace a bit, which makes the game more strategic - which is a good thing.

Try always taking weapons of different ammo types, and choose what weapons to carry based on the ammo you find, rather yhan always preferring gun-x even when you only have 2 clips of ammo.

Watch pro streamers, they don't seem to struggle too much with this.

Dude streamers like Shroud can do whatever they want because, well, he's Shroud. Don't use them as an example of what normal players do.

No, "more strategic" is not good. High time to kill means a single player has a much harder time doing anything at all. I don't want to spend every game trying to herd around a bunch of sheep with the ping button. 

I disagree. the sparse ammo keep from spraying and praying. If you want more capacity in your magazine then find a better magazine. the issue youre reffering too really isnt an issue. the problem is not the ammo, the problem is health per player. for example today, I shot bloodhound with a kariben for 125 health he took a small sheild and my brother shot him for 105. there is no reason he shouldnt have been dead. the problem isnt ammo, the problem is the health per player is too much compared to weapon power.

I disagree, except if you miss all your shots on your first fight and win that fight, you can take the player's (that you just killed) ammo

I'm using pro players as an example of what is possible at the high end of the skillcap. If you are having teouble with ammo.. git gud.

I like games to have a high skillcap, otherwise they are just a bunch of crap RNG. 

If someone as talented as shroud doesn't win nearly early game against average players, something is wrong with the game.

Not seeing it. More than enough loot available. Carrying capacity is mildly limited but you have to make choices on what's important to you...do you really need 100 shotgun rounds or can you lose a few to make room for a health pack.

Problem I see is most think they must engage every enemy they see, no matter how bad of a choice it is. So yeah if you run across the map like it's a CoD game, trying to rambo everyone then yes ammo/loot may be an issue. 

Play smart, loot what you can and remember the main basis is to survive, not get 15 kills a match.

I never had a problem with ammo. You can find plenty, even the rare ammos are abundant if you actually look for them. Even after killing a few players, you usually get more than you need. Aim your shots, don't just spray and pray. Also ask your teammates, sometimes they can ping you ammo that you need or may have some they can give you. This is a game about skill, you just gotta practice and get better. Otherwise there are more casual games out there. Frankly I'm tired of casual games, which is why I'm playing this over them.

3rd time playing this. Either not enough ammo or takes too much ammo to kill a person. Get rid of that shield. Its really pointless. If they get killed let em get killed. Been running around map looking for ammo. Died first time in the circle and won the game. Rather go back to codm. Rather enjoy rush kills. Too much campers in this game too. 

Inventory management, loot randomization, reload positioning mid fight, and adapting on the fly (swapping weapons to match available ammo) mid game are all part of Apex.  It is part of what makes it so difficult and rewarding...lots to think about and lots of things to keep straight in game.

Team shooting is probably the #1 tactic to being successful, not 1v1 skill.  Shootng who your squad mates are shooting will get you kills.  Easier said than done, but still.
